Interests: Within this past year, I've picked up a new addiction.. and that is... my car.. I got it exactly last November... a completely stock '95 Acura Integra LS (silver).. throughout this past year, of course by influence of friends, I've begun "modding" my car, spending excessive amounts of money on merely a temporary investment. Temporary, you ask? Yes.. the car is 9 years old, and as reliable as your common Honda motor might be, all the money you [I] spend on the car now will eventually be thrown away.. My justification is, it's a hobby.. you spend money on hobbies, whether it be a financially straining one, or collecting inexpensive stamps.. hehe.. let's just hope I get the best bang for the buck by having these "mods" last me a long time.. *crossing fingers*
Expertise: Since I don't really have a label of "expert" on any one thing, I'll just go ahead and talk about things I might know a little more about than the average bear.. Computers, first and foremost, I know a bit about.. generally, I can troubleshoot and solve most of my own problems, etc.. I took AP Computer Science in High School and despised it.. As for slightly more athletic "skill" and "knowledge," I used to ride my bicycle a lot, and as a result, I learned how to assemble and fix bikes.. Same deal with rollerblades.. I used to blade a lot and still do a little nowadays.. for the most part, I can figure out problems that may arise when riding.. and fix/lube bearings and such when need be.. ahem.. teeter your 3rd wheel for optimal turning capabilities.. =)

The Long Wait...
So it's definitely been a long time since I've last posted... which seems to be the case every few months when I suddenly go missing and forget about this darned site.  Anyhoo, I've been meaning to post about tons of events / happenings in the past year that I've  a) gotten pictures of  b) want to share with my friends who read this thing  and  c) want to make fun of some of the things that've happened in these pictures.

Well, I guess the main part of this post is to say that it's not dead and that I've only forgotten about it until.... now, and that I'm going to be posting things in the near future with the aforementioned items.  See ya'll on the flipside!

After not having checked my xanga page in months, and especially after taking this recent quiz, I immediately thought about posting these results on this page, strangely enough.

So I took a quiz on how many 5 year olds I could take on in a fight before they beat me down.  Well, here are the results!

I'd have to say, I'm proud of myself.  I can take out 31 little bastards before they take me down and take me out.  Go me!

The Trip to Costa Rica in Guanacaste (Playa Conchal Resort)...
Candace and I went to Costa Rica from August 5th to August 9th in the most exciting, yet relaxing vacation we've ever gone on thus far in our lives.  I'll be hard pressed to believe that we can find a better vacation anytime soon... so we've just come to accept the fact that this vacation will go uncontested for at least a few years.  This is good news though!  =)

Well, as I'm sure you're all thinking... STFU and move on with the pictures!  ok ok ok ok fine!

At the airport.. that's a cigarette in my mouth.. hehe, j/k.. it's my stylus.. =)

This is me trying to burn some time in our 5 hour layover!  5 HOURS!  Bubble Breaker FTW!

We're here!!!!!!!!  And it's SOOOO freakin' hot and humid... can you say, 60% humidity?  Now on the count of 3.. I command you to sweat.. 1....... 2... damn

Yes, it looks extravagant... just the way we like it!  Go pillars!

Don't ask me.. it's the friggin' lighting... =)

Hehehe... Candace looking at the 24-hour room service menu... it was QUITE an extensive menu... and the food was GREAT!  Tuna Ceviche for the golden crown!

Nice bathroom, eh?  but check this out......................

Yes... you're seeing it correctly.. it's the toilet's good friend Mr. Bidet.

The outside shot of our place.. It's quite beautiful, if I do say so myself!

Oooh look... that's Candace!  Go honey go!  She's probably dripping with sweat in this picture... =P

The mini stairway that leads directly to our door... yes, this was our door.. =)

We were rollin' DEEP with the greens... or rather, we were preppin' for a strip club... or rather, we wanted to make sure we didn't get swindled and so we made tons of change to break down our larger bills.  G'yeah sucka!

Tuna Ceviche, bitches!  Oh, and that's the fruit plate I ordered.. It's watermelon, cantaloupe, and papaya... all very tasty.  There wasn't any pineapple on this plate, though they often serve them all together.  Ah well.  I thoroughly enjoyed the tuna ceviche though.. *drool*

This is the teeny insignificant pool that was unimportant to many people who stayed at the resort.  It's rather unpopular and just ugly.  =P

Alright.. now make like you're Chinese and squint.. yes, that's correct... you are in fact seeing a bar by the pool.  In other words, a swim-up bar!  Did I forget to mention.... unlimited alcoholic drinks all included in the resort, all over the resort?  I know, it's cool

And in case you couldn't see it, here it is... zoomed in all its glory.  Sooooooooo pimp!

Beautiful sunset behind us.  We just had to snag a pic!

Us just relaxin' on the chairs.. I'm deep in thought.. thinking about what good food was ahead of us.... I think... or I could just be sleepy?

Those handles to the left and right of my head can almost serve as ears in my position..  I think I was hiding from the sweat monster who was trying to attack me and make me sweat some more...

This was what was left of the sunlight as the sun began to set... believe it or not, this was the view from my seat at the restaurant... CaurĂ (great food)

Hmm.. don't ask me what I was trying to do... because I probably couldn't tell you either.. =)

Ummm... and don't ask me about this one either...  Some say I look like I'm trying to eat Candace's face.. and some say I look like a jackass...  I think I'll take a little bit of column A.. and a little bit of column B.

The sunset... again, directly from my seat... btw, it's outdoor seating in a lovely patio dining area.

Oh, and in case you were wondering what I had for dinner... ahem... THIS.  And yes, it WAS DELICIOUS!!

A night shot of the outside of our place.  Very nice indeed.

Beautiful fountain area...

A better shot at another angle

So we got to rent bikes (free of charge!) to go for a lovely bike ride... too bad the ride was very difficult due to temperature (shweaty!) and for this particular ride... steep, elongated incline!

Us having a nice shot of 1800 with Robert... truly a cool cat, VERY sociable, and just friendly overall.  The dude drinks fast as hell.. Candace and I are in the middle of our shot and he's already done and smiling.  Yeesh, guess he speed drinks for the camera!  Speaking of which, I have to send him a CD with these pics!

A hot tamale?  Also a regular employee of the resort!  Apparently, some of the women there are entertainers by night... she pulled me out on the dance floor... and reluctantly, I went... because I can't dance for shit.  =P

Now Candace on the other hand... she can dance... and look at her, dancin' with this stud-muffin  =)

A cool picture of us and the beach.  Thank you to the nice couple who took this picture for us!

So included in the resort was Cristal.. I mean, damn, we're just BALLLLLLLLIN'!  Go Cristal!

Okay seriously, I have NO idea why he's here... guess the town of Bedrock wasn't cuttin' it for him, eh?

Let the festivities begin!  The ATV / Canopy Tours

Rollin' through water, getting my glasses very spotty and dirty.......... right on!

One of our stops... damn gorgeous

Seriously man.. absolutely breath-taking.  I just couldn't get over how beautiful the views were

Look at us... cute as buttons... with our mental-institution-looking helmets  (no offense to those who might be institutionalized in that way)   =)

That was Teofilo's (our tour guide) sign to PUNCH IT... so I did..  WIDE OPEN THROTTLE BABY!  =)

Let the zip lines begin!  God this was SOOOOOOO much fun.  I don't quite know what I enjoyed more.. the ATV'ing.. or the zip lining..

Here comes Candace... Btw, some of these zip lines go for more than a 1/4 mile... just imagine how long and how fast you're going.. Here's a perspective shot.......

See that red flag (very small)...? that's when you're supposed to apply your hand brakes... assuming your ass hasn't picked up so much speed already that you won't stop in time.. and slam into a tree trunk in the process!  eeep!   j/k!  =P

Crossing one of the scary-ass suspension bridges.  The tour guides would rock the bridge and people were crossing.. YEESH, glad I made it across first!

One of the trails leading up to another zip line...

Another zip line.. this was a good distance too.. =)

We're done.... and we're alive!  Whipeeeeee!  Look at us in all our gear!  We're hardcore to the max!

At the landing point.. there was a mini-zoo where they had birds, snakes.... and monkeys.  I was standing close to the fence look!  the monkey reaches into my right pocket.

Omg.. his hand is fully extended to the bottom of my pocket.  What was hilarious was that there was nothing in there... and when he discovered that fact, he looked VERY disappointed.  Wish we could've gotten a picture of his disappointed face... muhahahah.. joke's on him!  =P

Time for the ride home through the rocky terrain.

That night's dinner at their Asian Fusion restaurant... very good sushi, I must say.  =)

The trip is coming to an end... this is our last day out, so I figured I'd take a few shots I hadn't taken throughout our time here.

Look at Candace, chillin' and sweatin'... isn't she cute?   =P

Just chillin' for a bit.. the sun was burning.. so I didn't chill for long... that's for DAMN sure.

The bill at the end of the trip.  D'YAM!  That's some MAD bank!  Candace is SO BALLER.  OMG OMG OMG!............................................ Costa Rica currency FTW!  =)

At the airport, while waiting for our flight, we got thirsty.. and look what we found.  Dasani makes full fledged juices?  If you like Jamaica, it's a good drink (I don't like it, hehe).  The "Toronja Bliss" was pretty good, I'll admit.  Too bad this is the last picture in this already extensive recap of our trip.

Although it seems like quite a few pictures I've posted, there were many that I didn't post because it would be unreasonable to post several hundred pictures.  It would be impractical to have to load the page with that many pictures because it would just take too long in general.  The weeding out process was what made me take as long as it did to finally post these pictures up.  There were so many pictures that came so close to making the cut, but didn't because there was a similar picture up before, or just because it didn't fit with my story-telling.

I will never forget this trip, and as I said before, I think it will be a long time before Candace and I find a vacation that could bring us such joy, excitement, and relaxation all at the same time.  I just wanted to thank Candace for finding such a wonderful spot for us and helping to make all this happen.  I would never travel the world if it weren't for Candace and her wonderful family.  Hats off to you!

If you've made it this far, that's awesome.  You should reward yourself with a restroom break and a drink, and do it all over again!  muhahahah!  See ya!

So the Longing Begins...
It's been about 3 weeks since my old best friend sold... officially.  The pink slip is signed over, and the release of liability has been sent out.  Even though I'm enjoying my time with this new friend, I sometimes feel like we're strangers.  The RSX just doesn't feel the same way my Integra felt... and to think, I've had it a little over six months now...!  I do appreciate the more immediate throttle response of the RSX, and the overall comfort and look of the interior, but my Integra had attitude.  It was deceptive by nature... it needed no introduction and still caught the eyes of curious onlookers.

For the Vehicularly Inclined...
I have some projects coming up soon for my new friend... and if things go well, she'll be in top functioning form.  Currently, I'm ordering new suspension, wheels, and tires.  I also recently gave her sunglasses (tints).  Already, things are looking up.  They're 20% visibility on the doors and 15% visibility for the hatch and rear quarters glasses.  My Megan Racing full adjustable coilover suspension should arrive by next week... and yesterday, I picked up a set of new tires, Yokohama ES100 - 235/40/17... and now, I'm waiting on a backorder for rims.  It should be a month before I get them, 5zigen FN01R-C (Bronze), 17x8 +43.  This should be quite a site for my RSX.  =)

Some Pics for Thought...

Yeah, the minor imperfections that make it my perfect car.

Sleek, huh?

This is me when I finally realized that we were no longer going to share those moments... you know... VROOOOM - PSHHHHH... (God I miss having a turbo)

Brothers.. one handing the torch off to the other...

I was so proud of this car... everything we've gone through together.. and in the end, how she looked... inside and out.. =)

Damn, she looks aggressive.

The new blood.

Admittedly, it's a clean looking car... Another Integra.. I wouldn't have it any other way.. =)

A chubby behind.  It's cute.. =P

That's a beautiful setup there..  One generation leading to the next.  I just hope the RSX can live up to what I've come to love and respect about the Gen3 Integra.  We'll just have to wait and see...

I'll be dressing this new one up soon.. with a new look, it should be a gorgeous sight.  =)

Fortune Cookie Premonition...
"You are a fun-loving person and will find much happiness"

There you have it folks.. a fortune cookie that tells me exactly what my mother would tell me.  I sometimes think about the most horrible person I've ever met.  You know, that one person in your life whom you'd rather not know, associate yourself with, or have anything to do with... yeah, that person.  Now, imagine if he / she got that fortune cookie.  Interesting how a fortune cookie can straight up LIE.  heheh..

Well, if this fortune cookie is in fact true, then cool!  =)
