| You know, I hadn't had the time to really read up on and react to what was going on in the baseball world this offseason until tonight. Now, I am depressed. After following MLB so closely for about four years now, I came to realize that it really isn't a "game" anymore. I'm not upset, really, because one, I had been away so long and not nearly as attached as I used to be. And two, I still trust Billy to work SOMEthing out. Still, the Big Three is no more. Mychael Urban described their reign as historic... Oh boy.

Hudson: "It's a shame, man. I really hope everything works out for the A's, too, especially Barry and Billy. But right now, it's still hard. We had something pretty special there, and now it's over."
Zito: "Even when you don't understand something while it's happening, you just have to trust [Billy Beane] on it. His track record speaks for itself."
Mulder: "Right now, I'm kind of excited about going to the Cardinals and getting to hit again and all that, but Huddy told me, 'Dude, give it a couple days to sink in.' And it hasn't really sunk in. When it does, I'm sure it's going to be sad."
