Beijing Olympic 2008

So it happened. The opening directed by Zhang Yimou left me awestruck, as well as many others watching it, revered and surprised.

China had a good start, and we all anticipate a even more magnificent end to it. Vivian, Heizen and I have been tuning in to the Olympic broadcasts recently..good entertainment and in a healthy light... and thus Heizen was allowed to catch some of the action too.

Heizen loves soccer.. like any other boys his age.. (really.) In the match, Nigeria vs Côte d' Ivoire, Heizen avidly supported the latter. He loves Orange. He even dressed up for them.

Nonetheless, his men in orange lost out 1-0 to Nigeria, and he wasn't too happy with that. When they conceded that penalty in the second half, he was crestfallen.

Disregard that milk bottle in his mouth. Look closely, thats actually a blow horn cum whistle.

Life.. Simplicity

During these period which I did not update my blog, the following are the things that I was very occupied with.

1. My beloved wife Vivian. This is of course the number 1 thing that is always top of the list of what I am occupied with. I enjoyed the period of her pregnancy as much as she did. The preparation and anticipation, the sudden outbursts of hunger and yearning for food; the heart wrenching and memorable 15 hours in the delivery suite.. and of course, the new found cherished love and warmth in our small family of 3.

2. Heizen. From the sleepless nights to the nights where we are reluctant to sleep.. 10 months old, curious and a tissue fanatic.. (he loves to shred tissue paper to the microscopic bits.) He takes up majority of my time when I am home.

3. Asiateck Industrial Supplier Pte Ltd. Close to a year have passed.. we made no colossal achievements, nor have we earned towering blocks of cash like those The Joker burnt.. but I believe we made quite a clamor in the industry, credits to a slight push from the Government. Currently we have a few projects on hand, and I am in no doubt that things will shift to a higher gear soon. It is hard recently, but we are surviving... we are resilient.

4. My ride.. I was sick of having to take the cab every now and then. Breezed through the driving test in one go (driving IS in my blood... I..I can play Expert Mode in Daytona 10 years ago k k k), got my first ride with my savings, became OBSESSED with certain car mods, dabbled with crystals.. and.. here's what you got.

Not exactly the nicest car around, but I am kinda pleased with what I have done with it..

So thats about it.

Thanks for the private messages, thank you for the public comments, and thank you peeps for flooding my friendster inbox. I'll try to update as frequently as I can.

Cheers.

p/s: Shineytif, I cant seem to find your new blog .. pm me or mail. Thanks.

Resurrection

"Its been a long time you updated your blog isn't it?"

I gulped. When your wife make such comments, normally its time to reflect upon oneself and plan for the relevant action to take.

I am back. Maybe this will be a one time post in a decade, or maybe I'll start blogging again. It is not easy, when it is not habitual anymore and you start all over again to pick it up.

For your information, the above 3 sentences took me 8 minutes and 47 seconds. I could have finished a one page blog previously with this time length previously.

9 minutes 56 seconds. Alright. I guess perhaps I should just start with something easy to write.

I am married. I am a Father now. I crashed course a driving lesson and got my license within 3 months. I have started my business with my partner for 8 months now and it is getting on track (fingers crossed). Vivian and I have our plans to start something on our own and I think Xanga might be a good way to catch some attention.

Alright, I'll guess this is a good start. I'll upload some pictures in my next post TOMORROW.

I... er.. promise.

... All of a sudden I felt the urge to update my blog again.. after how many months? 9 months I think? It was meant as a means of update for Vivian previously, but now perhaps it will become what blog writing is truly about, sharing one's everyday joy and happiness to the world.

28th August 2007, it was the most memorable day of my life. I had the most extremes of experiences in that day itself. The most heart-wrenching moments of watching your loved one grimacing in pain; and the unspeakable joy of seeing a new life, born into this world, the creation of your loved one and yourself.

There he is, my boy Heizen.

Heizen at a week old.

I am so curious to know what he is thinking about sometimes.

This year, have been a really fruitful year for me I guess. Having Heizen in my life, finished my one year stint in Hong Kong in my previous company. Yeah, previous company, because I quitted the job, and now I am starting something on my own with 2 other partners. What a time to do so much things, one might think; but I thought this is the best time to move on. Like the chinese saying goes, 成家立業,先成家,後立業。Erm, english translation: to have a family before moving on to stable your career. Well I guess the reason behind this is that it tends to make one more conscious of his own responsibility and also a motivator. I definitely feel so. Everything I see Heizen, I see the need for higher achievements, for him, for vivian, for myself, my family.

I am not planning to explain or describe what business I am going into, but I am happy that Marcus and I are working together as partners, and we are very clear on our stand in this because we will not jeopardize our friendship because of business, neither will we jeopardize our business because of friendship.

Heres a peep at one aspect of our business, credits to Vivian for her help in this design.

Wish me luck.

Cheers,

Happy 2007!

I guess its a good time to start updating my blog again after so long; Life have been fulfilling, my marriage in Hong Kong and Kuching have been a blast and I want to thank those who have attending my main wedding in Singapore for all your well wishes and extraordinary gifts.

I seriously dont know where to start now haha... ermm from Trivial things (like my laptop crashed again) to memorable events (early christmas celebration @ HK disneyland)... well.. perhaps I should just let my pictures do the talking...

Vivian with her deadly gang of sisters... I was basically unscathed except the patch of leg hair that I lost from their bikini wax attack.

Special thanks to Shirley for taking the trip down specially to be the bridesmaid.

Before the Wedding Dinner in Kuching, took some time off to visit one of the Resorts in Kuching, Damai Lagoon. A peaceful sanctuary, perfect place for a retreat.

Marcus's ROM. Really happy that he's now all settled down and managing his own business. Cheers bro.

Had to go back to Hong Kong for a short trip for Vivian's friend's wedding. Took the opportunity and celebrated an early Christmas in Disneyland. Rushed straight to Disneyland once we got off the flight, it was crazy... but romantic. (Apart from all the luggage)

Bought a new iMac 20 inch... Laptop crashed, and I thought might as well get something which will be useful for me and Vivian for her graphic design work. Intel Duo core.. simply love it. Graphics are excellent, memory's abundant. Everything is fast. Just need sometime to get comfortable with it.

Most importantly, mum and Vivian are getting along very well.. and I am really happy to see that... nothing beats a good day out with your family isnt it?

:D Mr and Mrs Henry Tse...
