| I can hardly believe that it's been three months already since my last paper. And now, my results would probably be out by next week. I'm anticipating. Well, not really. But it's a fact I have to face, albeit it could be a real hard one too. I had few trips planned and postponed, done a number of impromptu outings, some plans drawn but canceled, worked for a good two months, met a lot of people and answered a few false panic attacks. I would say it had been a holiday well spent. Doing absolutely nothing. Nothing as in without having to worry about anything or any responsibilities to account for. Except for, of course, dreading for that one day to come when I'll open that envelope with an eye shut and the other squinted swallowing in my own thumping heart in my own mouth. When I started work in June, I had plenty in mind. Knowing that I'll have to answer to job commitments, there'll be plans to be put on hold and sacrifices to be made. Like going out late nights when everyone else is back and missing a whole lot of wacko fun. But no doubt, during those two months I learnt invaluable experiences I cannot find in textbooks. I followed my superior and his partners to Courts and saw how real lawyers in the real world in action, followed him to various departments I never knew existed, worked on real lawsuits and assisted him in conducting seminars to real corporate people. I have to say it was overwhelming and a lot of thrill. For the first time, I understood why people wants to be in the rat race. It really was kind of cool! But I won't want to be trapped anyway. Went for a trip up north in Penang with Ivan and his family. Met up old buddies.
Went skating for the first time! I did pretty well as a first timer as I've got some rollerblading background. I started rollerblading since 6 and can say to be a pretty good one too!
Steamboat after skating.
Partied a bit.
Went to Quatro and this is their cool Winter room. It was literally freezing in there!
In the meantime, lotsa hugs and cheers to my babe for being crowned Miss Melbourne Chinese International 2009! Woot! :) Photographed next to Bosco Wong!
Saw my sick friend who was later tested positive for H1N1. Was quite worry at first. To make things worse, Ivan fell sick for a few days a week after that. Had fever on and off but never exceeding 38 degrees but thank God he's okay already. Just barely three weeks before that, he was admitted to the hospital for a week after a persistent headache for 4 days. Found out it was only a sinus infection. Phew! Thank God again it wasn't anything too serious! Boy, this guy really loves to scare the hell out of me, doesn't he? |

I had a wonderful little celebration despite the fact that my exam is barely 10 days away. The guilt. Gosh. It's overwhelming! But then again, you only turn 21 once! I'm happy and I'm glad I had a really good one, one that has a lasting impression. Let me face the consequence now.
I didn't get wasted on my birthday. I remained extremely sober on my 21st, which is something I'm glad also so I could enjoy every bit and savour every second of it.
As I have already mentioned in my previous post I had a mini surprise bash in CF last week. Then this weekend itself I was treated to an exquisite dinner by my personal chef. Count down my birthday by the pool under the moonlight and finally, flew a smiley kite on my birthday itself! I haven't flew a kite in a decade it was SO rejuvenating! And God is so good He gave me an extremely windy and shady Sunday afternoon. The sun wasn't up til it was pretty late.
I had wanted to fly a kite for a very long time but somehow it just never worked out. Then I was told that I'll be getting my 3rd surprise on Sunday itself. I was blindfolded and driven to a mysterious place (but half way there I managed to crack it. I'm too smart!) Hehe. We spent a good 2 hours in the park soaring high with my new Smiley kite. It was just so good!
Everything went so well I can't fully express how thankful I am.
Truly, God is good, all the time and all the time, God is good! :) |
