| SO. senior year. I was just looking at my previous post, and wow...it seemed really pessimistic-the fact that I was already dreading junior year. But hey, it's senior year and time to turn things around. That's not to say I've lessened my workload, but I feel pretty excited about everything. Every time someone says, "senior year," I instantly think of High School Musical 3: Senior Year (yes I admit, I watched all three...hey...it was because i got dragged into a HSM marathon partay with my friends.funfun? I think so after watch my friend dance to "We're All in this together"). Yes, I wonder if my school would ever be so great to have students have a coordinated dance down the hallways.
But anyways, I've got to tell you all about an AWESOME summer program I attended- the Dale Carnegie Leadership Training Course. It was not so much of a leadership class as it was a class that taught me how to make more friends. The class was more about what other people think about and how they want others to notice them. Just an example, one of the principles I learned was, "The sweetest sound to a person is that person's name." I have to agree. I've tried engraving this idea in my head, and now I try to say hi to everyone, followed by their name. Also, SMILE. It truly makes a difference. Next time you see someone, smile, and try to see if anything happens...a smile from the other person or a more calm look. I guess those elementary teachers really weren't lying when they said smiles can make a difference. Yes, this class was THE most life changing experience for me yet.
Another life changing thing...junior year. Indeed, it was horrific..poor grades and stress. However, I've learned how to fail, and that's something I think everyone needs to learn to do. We all are probably going to hit the ground later on down the road, and if one person isn't ready from past failures, that person will take it REALLY hard. So I guess, even though my grades won't help me in getting into some Ivy League or some school of that sort, they have helped me prepare for what's greater out there. I guess most of you think I'm being too philosophical, but until you've experienced such a "failure" (yes, it is now in quotes), you won't know.
I should be doing AP GoPo homework, but hey, what the heck...I'm enjoying myself these few minutes...blogging that is, not er, let's say, super self-pleasuring myself as most people might take from what I just said. hmm dirty dirty...i have many things i can say related to.."dirty." AP English is dirty..everything has sexual connotation. BJ is one dirty abbreviation...BeiJing of course. lol. my friend pointed out how it could be used as some code word. "would you like a beijing?" or "OOOHHH, that beijing was fantastic."
I'm ranting off, BUT...I've learned so many cool abbreviations which i have incorporated into my daily lingo here are a few: inapropro(inappropriate), aprepre (appreciate it), gene (genius), brillz (brilliant), jillz (gene+brillz), dramz (drama), trust (trust me), ridic (ridiculous)...the list goes on...feel free to use it and spread the use of these words..they're so FUN to use. trust. i'm ridic hooked on them. so much dramz.
anyways, if i have time...i promise i will TRY (indeed..but laziness may be the more powerful force) to update more often.
