I love grew up on Sesame Street and Mister Rogers- It is sickening how
politicians would withdraw funding like that for these public
organizations that provide the only decent, educational and wholesome
programming out in the media. Most of the other stuff that is left out
there is redolent of greed, exhibitionism, and pure crap. If you've ever
had the pleasure of benefiting from Sesame Street, Frontline and NPR,
please do take a few moments to sign the petition.

| Guess what? Since I last wrote I've found somebody to go to Aimee Mann
concerts with me! And he'll be going with me to the FREE concert in
Stern Grove in SF on June 18th. So exciting!!!
June is going to be a good month.I'm quitting my job (finally) in June
and will be going to grad school (finally) in the fall, so I'm pretty
excited about that.

| Does anybody want to go Aimee Mann's concert up in Napa with me on Saturday, August 13th??? She's playing at the Robert Mondavi Winery.

| S***, it's been a long time. I hate my job and need to find a new one. That's all that's been happening. | | |
| I have a job! I was pretty reluctant about it at first since the initial phone conversation/interview was highly unorthodox and the office is in San Jose (kiss goodbye to my New York plans, at least for a year), but the opportunity was too good to pass up. It's an intellectual property law firm, which I felt ambivalent about since it smacks of elitist/conservative economics but also presents itself as a tool for real economic development (But I guess that begs the question: economic development for whom?). At any rate, its a small firm and the people there seem really friendly and liberal, and I get to learn a lot about international trade & law in the process. They want me bust out with Mandarin in dealing with our international clients so I'll have to study up on patent law vocabulary in Chinese. The office is in downtown San Jose (1st & Santa Clara) so if you're in the area, let's do lunch! I start tomorrow. | | |
