Well, it's certainly been long enough since I've last written on this thing... but then again it seems that I'm not the only one who's been slacking off about it.. The fact is that it really doesn't matter how often you post something because most of the time no-one reads any of it anyway... Alright, now down to business...
Things are going fine as usual.. Finished my first year of college with out any problems during the year besides breaking an elbow when the horse decided to try somersaults.. lol.. grades were good, better first semester than second, but not bad overall... Being on the Kutztown equestrian team was the best decision I made the entire year..It was so much fun riding competitively again, but at a cheaper price and in a much more relaxed manner... Just being around horses again was awesome enough, but making friends with so many great people made it even better.. During the summer I guarantee that the team is without a doubt what I will miss the most.. I almost made it to regionals this year... I would have made it too it it wasn't for breaking my elbow the day before the last few shows.. oh well, next year I'll make it to regionals for sure, if not zones and nationals.. at least that's what I'm hoping for.. I guess we'll just have to wait and see...
Next year I'll be living in Rothermel Hall again.. I know people say I should move off campus or to a bigger dorm, but I'm happy where I am.. out of all the dorms, Rothermel has the best rooms because we have big windows we can open so it stays alot cooler.. that and the hallways don't feel like hospital corridors... lol.. I dunno, I don't have a roomate yet though.. I'll prolly get stuck with a freshman.. .. as long as they aren't a pain in the butt I could care less.. I lived with a sophmore this past semester and we didn't have any problems.. the fact that she was my third roomate this year was kind of pathetic but it wasn't my fault the other two decided to quit and work instead.. just kinda seems like it was according to other people lol.... other than that there really isn't much to tell about school....
This summer I'm working three jobs... weekdays I'm working for my dad fulltime in his office.. I'm an Intern, but basically that means I sit around alot and wait for the phone to ring or for projects to get down so I can file them.. lol. . then on weekends I'm working at my former riding instructors stable mucking stalls and riding horses.. the pay there isn't too great considering most of it goes to gas for the 1hr 15min drive, but it keeps me around horses and people that I've known for a long time.. It's crazy to see some of the younger girls I rode with growing up.. kinda scary too when some of them just got or are getting their drivers licenses... (ex: One of them got pulled over for a DUI while still on her permit, with her mother in the car... apparantly she had issues staying in between the lines.. lol) but it's cool.. and then every now and then on weekend nights I barback for my mom out at the bar in Steelton.. that's always interesting, lol. but with all that I''m pretty busy this summer...
Then of course I have to mention Tim.. This saturday was our 1-year mark.. I can't believe that much time has gone by already...it went by so fast and yet I remember so much of it, it's strange.. Things have been going pretty good with us.. we have our fights every now and then, but they usually get resolved fairly quickly... Lately things have been kinda rough since I've been working all the time and our time off clashes.. we really only see each other when I take him dinner at work for a have an hour and whenever I'm not working on weekends... it feels like I'm still at school with how much I see him.. The fact that this coming year I won't be coming home as often doesn't help either... but if we are meant to be together, things will work out.. he makes me happy and at this point, that's all I care about....
Well, since I'm pretty much written an entire book I suppose I'll end this entry here.. maybe someone will actually read it, maybe not .. at least it's been written down... :) |
