We had Thanksgiving with Beth & John in San An-Tone. I was hunting weeks ago and missed a doe twice (semi-automatic guns only serve to make you feel more inept). I have about 6 personal house projects that will have to wait because of budgeting. I am going to be working with Gail's father (a master electrician) to perform some simple switch rewiring, adding some GFCI convenience outlets, and adding a motion sensing security light. I am playing a game that is pure crack, Company of Heroes. My wife and I just finished our first Christmas house decorating and it is magical. As an uninteresting side note, if you have granite counter tops you will dull your knives to a useless state in a matter of weeks. If you have many knives you will spend a whole weekend having to resharpen and hone them--just a glimpse of one of my recent honey-do's. I feel sad when I look out on my celery-colored lawn. because ALMOST all of the trees in my backyard are sticks now, I am waiting one more week before performing the final winter leaf herding. After that I will have absolutely nothing to do in my yard until March. How sad. We are alternating using the "Rodey" during the day, and getting by with one vehicle. Just many random Wintry bits to share, we are huddled up and sipping hot cocoa as it were.

I love Lowes and Home Depot, too.  We do have quite a few projects to take care of before we move in, mostly right now just painting.  I was up until 2 am this morning painting our kitchen and now I don't think I like it!  We'll see.   Our backyard has nothing in it but grass, so I'm anxious to plant something.  You and Gail will have to come down sometime!

A 32 team playoff would work within the bowl system. For the 2006 season there were 32 bowls. The playoff could become the Dec/Jan version of March Madness. People do not want to see a mythical national champion, they want to see a team earn that title (that is the purpose behind the BCS). The BCS is a flawed system. The most fair way to crown a national champion is a playoff system. It works in NCAA Div III, II, and IAA. With a playoff system every team that plays in the post season has the possiblity make it to the national championship. The way the system is skewed now, only teams from the Atlantic Coast (12), Big East (8), Big Ten (11), Big Twelve (12), Pacific Ten (10), and Southeastern (12) have a shot at the National Championship. How much fun would the NCAA tournament be if there were teams from only half the conferences. For a 32 team playoff you can have the NC game the week after New Years, you would start the games 5 weeks before hand. I personally think that in order for a true champion to be crowned there has to be a playoff.

How in the world do you come up with replies that are longer than my original posts.
