Hi. I'm alive... I know there a few of you Cal Baptist people who still check my site periodically.
I'm at home, incredibly bored. My Facebook is updated. My Myspace is checked. And my Hotmail is rid of the junk mail I get.
So, what has your friend, Michael Antaramian, been up to?
I'm working. Monday through Friday, the Fresno Unified School District keeps me busy playing the piano for elementary through high school grade choirs. It's an amazing job, except that I feel like I still have to get up for school every day. Haha! But I love it. It's refreshing to be in an environment where what you do is important and people respect you. And hey, music is my passion! Not many people can say that they get paid to do what they live for.
I'm in school. I'm taking Psychology, English, and Opera Workshop at Fresno City College. Psych is an online class. And that makes it easier because I can do it on my own time, with leisure. English is fun because, somehow I've managed to befriend my professor. I guess we have something in common with music because her daughter plays music. And seriously, I think I am (by far) the best writer in that class. I guess I'll know when I get my essay back this week.
I'm having fun! As you may notice, I didn't mention the Opera Workshop above. That's because I can hardly call it a class. Currently, we're rehearsing for Don Giovanni by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. I play the role of Masetto, an engaged citizen of Seville who is trying to keep his fiance (Zerlina) from being seduced by the licentious Don Giovanni. At the same time Don Giovanni is forced to account for his actions and is halted in every attempt at promiscuity. If that's not all, I'm also performing with the Fresno Grand Opera in a performance of Manon Lescaut by Giacomo Puccini. I'm only in the chorus in this one, and the plot is about a woman leaves the man she loves for the man with wealth. After becoming bored with the money, she wants to run back to her lover, but she also wants to take her jewels and fine things with her. She's caught and shipped to America, where her lover follows. More happens, but I won't spoil it.
I'm dating. Recently, I've met an incredible guy named Adrian who I've been hanging out with and getting to know. He's smart and has an amazing personality. (Which only goes to compliment how hott he is.
) I think he's awesome and I'm glad that we're becoming friends.
With all of this going on, it may be unbelievable, but I have a massive amount of free time. I'm finished with school and work by 2:15PM every day. And each opera only meets one day a week. So I have plenty of time to do whatever suits me. Things are going great right now. I'm happy!
Did I forget anything? hahaha Oh... "The End" (every time I say "the end" I think of the book report on Peter Rabbit from "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" HA!)
