A "Pictoral" Summary of My Christmas Break

So many things happened over Christmas break. I thought I would share a few of the wonderful events with those of you who stumble upon my BLOG.

Emma showed up and got her stool.

I didn't think these things still existed, but somehow my mom found one of them for Emma to entertain us all with.

After church, Emma took Grandpa for a little walk.

PRISCILLA ARRIVED! Molly enjoyed her company immensely.

Priscilla and Rob sharing a "moment."

We all brushed our teeth and went to bed (look at the intensity! Deep in concentration, gotta clean those pearly-whites.)

Kyle and I drove up to Word of Life after the New Year began, interesting sights along the road.

We caught this man in the act....

This was our humble abode for a few short nights.

Priscilla and I were able to spend some time together... awww, just look at those two smiling faces.

I was able to enjoy a few days with snow before having to return back down South. (What a view!)

Unfortunately, over break I did come down with a little illness... No worries, DayQuil to the rescue!

Special musical performance.

We stopped and said "Hello!" before leaving.

Scary enough for you? I had to endure it for 5 hours!

Before leaving for school I was able to spend a few last minutes with Emma (that's my tie, but she asked to wear it).

Sadly, I had to leave for The Citadel. The farewell committee sent me off with the traditional "Elmeda Goodbye."

I shed some tears, shared many laughs, and enjoyed being with my family and my Priscilla. I had an amazing time in New York meeting all of Priscilla's friends and getting to know them a little better.

I have been very blessed with a wonderful girlfriend and my amazing family.

Have a wonderful day!

Parent's Weekend.....

Last weekend my parents, Rob, Melanie, Emma, and Priscilla all came down to The Citadel for the weekend. On that Friday I got my ring (WAHOO!), a moment that has been anticipated for the past four years. That night we all went out to eat, my good friend Brian and his family joined us. After that we went back to school for a ceremony and dance (which we skipped, don't worry WOLBI people). On Saturday we had a parade in the morning and then the football game in the afternoon.

All in all, it was a great weekend. I was glad to see my family and Priscilla. The only bad part of the whole weekend was that Kyle, Nicola, and their yet to be born baby girl could not join us.

Today my life changed dramatically....

Today my life changed dramatically....

While sitting at my desk, working on a take-home test, and seeding some sunflower seeds IT happened.  I seeded the unthinkable.... I opened up a sunflower seed and felt it on my tongue. I pulled it out of my mouth for closer inspection and there it was.... a sunflower seed with not one, not two, not three, but four, yes count them, 1,2,3,4! four seeds inside one capsule. here are a couple pictures of the seed:

these last two are a reenaction of the event described above:

need i say more?

20 Septiembre 2006

Hola,

It has been a long time since I have actually posted anything. So I am going to throw up some pictures and tell you a little bit about what is happening in the "Life of Ian."

Anyways, here are some pictures. Life is crazy as usual. God is good. I am learning and growing alot. There are two guys that God has brought into my life this year that are challenging me and keeping me accountable, which is neat. Priscilla and i are still "hubba, hubba."    I miss her like crazy though. Yesterday I went to a prayer breakfast for the whole city of Charleston. That was awesome. It was amazing to hear the city mayor get up and talk about how much prayer is a part of his day to day operation of the city. Anne Graham Lotz
was there. Amazing speaker. Smart lady. She spoke about Noah and the Ark, and how it parallels today's world. I was encouraged and convicted at the same time by alot of what she said. Spanish is still annoying as usual. I just need to get past this semester and I will be happy. Only 28 days left until "The Big Weekend." I can't wait to see my family (minus Kyle and Nic) and PRISCILLA CAVALCANTI!!!! Anyways, have a wonderful day.

  what a great idea!!!!
