OK I have neglected xanga for wayyy too long.... I use msn space mostly now -_- http://spaces.msn.com/jpjpjp1

this is just a straight copy from my msn space for update!!

So I started off reading week (Right on Thursday) with my UTSC friends discussing how to plan our Blue Mountain Trip... we were at Go For Tea having a gazillion different types of food and drinks until we had compiled a list of all the things to bring and so forth =)

Then came around Friday where I slept until 2 PM maybe and it all of a sudden hit me like a rock that Winning Eleven 9 had finally come out... I had really no money but decided to ring it up on my credit card anyway cause I'm hooked on that game =)  But before I played it, I went to play beach volleyball with Martin and friends where I dove and dove and later realized i had carried all the sand into my bed -_-

Trust me.. Beach volleyball was real... not a game -_-

Fun times on Saturday having Korean food at Oh-Geul-Bo-Geul (¿À±Ûº¸±Û) with Viv, Vin, and Judy - a lot of side dishes which were mainly kimchi haha... $6 for a meal and u get all that food!

Then all of us were off to Go for Tea where we had a lot showing up so we had to sit across two big tables, a lot of jokes and laughs and good food once again! - we were off to Andy's house right after playing pool, poker, soccer game, and having fun =)

Sunday me and Viv did our postponed valentines day dinner and fun at baton rouge and yukyuks~  Food was good but the comedy show blew me off... but guys laugh at everything... don't u think?

Monday was a peaceful day off with some time to read and play and pack!  by this point I was getting pretty excited... I had already booked a cottage for just $116 and was already excited for tubing lol

Tuesday - a lot of driving up to the cottage where we unpacked our stuff~  went tubing with joyce, catherine, and mimi and managed to meet up with martin, kevin, anthony, and geoff...  maybe tubing was a little intense cause i think mimi really hurt herself -_-

As for what happened in the cottage, we'll just leave it at that one picture... by this point, we were maxed out on taboo, sonic, mustard salad dressing shots and some alcohol... then came our discussion about the whole issue of "relationships" which lasted us throguh most of the night =) .... i won't mention any names for u know... privacy reasons?

Wednesday - time for some truth or dare! yoohoo!  ...................

then we managed to clean up and head back home  - what a fun trip it was!!

Thursday I maxed out on watching lovers in paris which viv thought was annoying cause of the girl... but i think she's cute!!! and the story is good too!!

All of Friday Saturday trying to study -_-.... my plans to go watch Munich was shattered cause I was feeling sick for some reason.... and I never really got to study cause I was distracted... oh and by this point I met my new piano instructor!!

Sunday, I was really in a mood to study cause I met up with friends from c44 to discuss some stuff about the midterm... then the unexpected hit me when I got home!

My mom and my sister were watching this new drama.... set in an imagined environment where the Korean royalty still existed and lived in the palace... OMG the setting is so beautiful and the lights, costumes, everything is like... WOW

SO to sum up my reading week, I haven't really studied much and I'm busy downloading this new drama... I think I really need a life....but what a memorable reading week!!!

It's time for Jae's all-time favourite Korean movies list.  Although the start wasn't that great, the Korean Film industry has gone through a lot of improvements over the last five years or so.  So by random order, here are my favourites

#1. The Classic

This is a real good chickflick set in the 1960's and 90's respectively.  One actress plays both the role of mother (from the past) and daughter.... sounds complicated but it really isn't.  the setting switches from present day to the past and so forth... really beautiful scenes in this movie and the music's great... the storyline's really great too but there's this one actor that seems to ruin the movie at the end

#2. Shiri

Classic North VS South Korea espionage movie... it's basically a love story disguised as an espionage film I should say... nonetheless, if you don't mind the long dialogue and cheesy romance, this film should come acrss as satisfactory~

#3. Oldboy

Now this movie I recommend to everyone.  It won the best film award from the Kahn International Film Festival and several other awards that I really don't know much about... this is as gory and graphic as you get in a Korean film I should say.  It's about a guy being locked up in a cell for 15 years for NO REASON.  He's got 5 days to find out why and so the tale of revenge begins.  The setting is very eery, the acting is amazing, and the storyline will keep you thinking for a long time.

#4. 2009 Lost Memories

This is sort of a sci-fi action film... set in year 2009 when history is altered and Japan ends up victorious in WWII.  Korea is never liberated and ends up as a colony to Japan.  A lot of "what-if" scenarios here... kinda interesting as this Japanized Korean cop tries to uncover the secrets to all the "why"s.

#5.  Boss, Teacher, Parent - All are One

Just a real stupid movie about a gang boss trying to educate himself... so he goes back to high school... and all the stupidness unfolds from there.. pretty funny, not fun for the whole family though i guess

To tell you the truth, these are probably the only Korean movies I've seen.. j/k, I've seen more but none of the others are worth mentioning.. unless I forgot about some~
