| i had quite the eventfull evening last night! so many things going on. i believe CHAOS is the word that best describes it.
work was extremely boring! it was so slow and there was nothing to do. the bright side is that i was supposed to work until 4 but they let me leave at 2 30, so i can't complain about that. after work i went to the mall to pass some time because i didn't know what else to do and i knew if i went home i would get sucked into doing work around the house i.e. cleaning, mowing, gardening, weed-pulling, weed-wacking, laundry, dusting, vacuuming, etc. the mall sounded way more exciting, so that's what i did. i walked into hot topic and i ran into THE jake moffitt swapping friendly conversation with none other than the sexiest member of dear augustine, ronnie. and ronnie did his best to make my entrance as akward as possible, haha.
after the mall i went to pick up danny to get our crap set up for our show at ally's birthday party. it was such a nightmare! we were missing cables, we couldn't find the power cable for danny's amp, and it literally took us an hour and a half to set up. luckily a kid there had a power cord for danny back at his house. thanks a million to josh who saved our freaking lives. once everything was finally set up, we ran into more trouble. only one of our mic canles decided to work, which meant that danny would not be able to sing with me. normally this wouldn't be a huge deal, but we have a new song with dualing vocals in which i sing a line then danny interrupts with the start of a new line. let me just say that i was completely gasping for breath that entire song and singing both parts was literally the hardest thing i've ever done. then jake showed up and we played our set around 7 or so. halfway into our first song, my guitar string decided that it would be a little jerk face and break. despite all that went wrong, i had a great time playing. it was soo much fun just to forget about all the crap that had just happened and play our songs.
after we were done playing, i went over to the bean scene to watch dear augustine play acoustically. they were absolutely amazing! they sounded so sick acoustic, and whoever had the idea to have the acoustic show is a bright, talented, and gifted individual.
then it was back to ally's for her name in lights. they definately brought the mosh. i was not expecting it to sound that good, but they were absolutely sick!
i wish that this is where my story ended on the events of last evening, but i'm afraid there's more...i had just dropped courtney off at her house, and was almost home when my car died. it was the weirdest thing ever, it just shut off. so i sat there for a few minutes and tried to start it again to no avail. so i called my dad to come help me out because i thought i might have run out of gas, because it was pretty close to empty. about five minutes later i tried to start it again and it came right on, like nothing was ever wrong with it. so i drove the rest of the way home, and it died again right as i pulled up into the driveway. so i have no idea what the heck is wrong with my car, and i've been forced to drive my dad's car today. hopefully it doesn't cost alot of money to fix whatever the heck is wrong with it because i'm going to mexico at the end of june on a missions trip and i have to save another 300 bucks for that, which won't be a problem unless my car costs alot to fix.
sorry for the long post, if you made it down here give yourself a pat on the back! |
