| How I Love TheeA little excerpt from a page in the scrapbook I made for him last year. The page was "What I love About Brent" ·Makes my lunch practically every night · Gives me a peck on my forehead every time I lean into him · Is a studious student · Plays with my Lauren, Quincy, and Alyssa when he’s tired · Gives me a kiss every time I come home · Makes awesome Chicago dogs · Opened my eyes and ears on new music · Rocks out in the middle of the living room · Is protective · Tries very hard to get along with my family · Comes with me shopping · Makes me laugh · Gives me awesome massages even though he’s tired · Listens to my whining about work · Will stand up to me when I’m stubborn · Tries new cuisines · Taught me about football · Slow dances with me even though there’s no music · Thinks about and invests in our future · Loves dogs too! · Holds my hand while we’re sleeping · Intelligent and humble as can be · Gives big warm bear hugs · Indulges my needs and wants when he can · Taught me about financial responsibility · Moved us to San Francisco! · Takes me to ball games and explains things to me · Makes it easy to love him · |

| Must be my birthday? When I walked into work today, laying on the kitchen table up for grabs was the book I've been wanting to get since it came out:
It must be my birthday or something... I'm so glad I snagged it before anyone else saw it! |

| The Oh-Eight..Finally! Some time at work so I can blog a little something! These past few months have been so hectic at work.. dealing with two positions at once sure is hard! However on a brighter note, I went with a good pal to a manicure/pedicure treatment at Mizu Spa on my lunch hour today and it was awesome. They massaged my legs, arms, gave us tea, a soft pillow to lay our head, and a warm lavendar bean bag that wrapped around our necks...ahhhh. It simply took us both away from the craziness of the work environment. Thats the one amazing thing about San Francisco - amidst all the fast cars, loud people on the sidewalks, and crowds you can find a little get-away right off the street, step inside and are immediately whisked away to another world. I'm definitely coming back to them again soon! My birthday is already coming up too! eek! Another year bites the dust off my "twenty-somethings" decade. I'm not expecting anything big or different this year - I call it a transition year. Brent is going full force in his last year in school and I'm (shocker) am back in school again so we're both going to be chugging along. Sometimes I can't believe I'm as old as I am and sometimes I can't believe I'm acting so old! Its a major catch-22 when you reach the age of trying to be responsible coupled with still feeling young and adventurous. Lets see, what else is new? Oh. we've decided we wanted to take a huge trip to Europe next summer when Brent graduates so let the squirreling begin! Not to mention the visit to Boston in April and possible Philadelphia in September! I [heart] traveling. Well time to sneak outta work early ;) . Bye ya'll. |
