| No, I'm not dead, lol. Not much to write about. Saturday I went to a battle of the bands at the Memorial Union. It was awesome. There were 12 high school bands from around the state competing for prizes. There is so much talent out there. I guess the band from Madison, Altun Kelly (sp?) won the main prize. One of the bands won a gig at Summerfest, another gets to play at Warped Tour and I think they all get recording time and software packages for a website. Check out www.launchpadwisconsin.org. | What did we do to get Mother Nature so pissed off? Last August it was storm after storm after storm, last winter the same, this spring the cold, now back to the storms again. The weather has f---ed up so many things since December. In other news, I'm trying to arrange things to make room for a printer. You don't realize how much crap you have til you wanna do something like this. Anyway, this printer was a freebie from my brother cuz he got a new one. I'm hoping it'll work out cuz it's also a scanner and fax but dunno if I'll use that part or not but it'll be nice to be able to scan some pics and stuff. Laters! | | |
| My dental appointment went better than expected. The wisdom tooth that was bothering me on Monday stopped so I don't need to worry about that for now. They also remodeled their office so it's much nicer and they have a fireplace in the waiting room. Something else they have is a TV above the chair so you can watch TV while they work on you. They also have massaging chairs that massage your back while you're in it. Makes the visit a little more enjoyable if that's possible, lol. Looks like we're in for a stormy week. There's a t-storm that just moved through here with another right behind it. Then warm and humid after. Summer may be here (crosses fingers). Laters! | | |
| It looks like summer is here. This weekend was awesome. Yesterday I spent some time in a friend's pool and it felt good. Then we had steaks on the grill. YUM! Today after church I worked on my tan for a bit. It was at least 79 today and maybe a degree or two higher. I'll find out later. Gas around here has been hovering around the $3.939-$3.959 mark for the last week. It keeps bouncing back and forth. I was reading a friend's Xanga earlier about some car driving down his street about 55 MPH. This just made me think about the time I was driving on a residential street and I was going kinda slow cuz the street was rather bumpy. All of a sudden the car behind me goes around me like a bat outta Hell. He must have been in a big hurry but I'm sorry, I'm not tearing up the bottom of my car just cuz someone is in a hurry. I hope he had to get an alignment after that, lol. Wednesday I have my 6 month dental check-up. I'm kinda dreading it cuz he told me last year I should have a crown replaced. I know this will come up again. I also have a wisdom tooth that should come out. I'm not looking forward to that either, especially since it's on the side I chew on which means I prolly won't be able to eat. Dentists are fun NOT! Hope you all have a good week and maybe I'll post later and let you know what the dentist said. Laters! | | |
| Odds And EndsBoy, Xanga has changed from when I first started writing on here. There's about 1/10 the people there were back then. I always wonder what happened to the people who were on at this time in 2005. Monday I woke up with a splitting headache then a queasy stomach. I felt pretty rotten in the morning and started feeling better after paying homage to the porcelain God. I didn't do much except watch TV and surf the web. I think I know how the people in Washington state feel. Our weather has been cloudy, rainy, and cold for quite a while. It really gets depressing. Gas prices are really going nuts too. Regular is $3.799 here. A friend from Honolulu said their prices were about the same with other islands around $4. Usually Hawaii is about 30% higher than the mainland. I never thought we'd catch up. If I ever see anyone from the oil companies I'm gonna take the nozzle and shove it up their ass to see how they like it. Not too much going on yet, just thought I'd post an entry and let you all know how boring I am, lol. Laters! | | |
