CUBBIES SWEEP THE WHITE SOX!!!

Wednesday, June 20, 2007

we had 94 mile an hour gusts during a storm last night. it was pretty intense and went on for over an hour.

it was about 2:00 am and i looked at seth and asked, "are we going to die?" of course i didn't really think we were going to die. there is a lot of damage around town and a lot of places still don't have power. we were very blessed to only have lost a few small branches and shingles.

Immigration Reform

There is a lot of "stuff" flying around about immigration right now. i believe it is a huge campaign issue and one that must be addressed by each presidential candidate. i'm glad it's being talked about. it's especially being talked about now due to the ill fate of bill that was not passed.

i have to admit, i get really fired up over the issue of immigration and reform. i'm not sure why. my life doesn't have a lot to do with immigration or immigrants, but i still get fired up. i have a lot of opinions. i seem to often get bashed pretty hard when i state my opinions on my own website (hmm), but i'm very interested to know the opinions of others on this issue. of course, i will post my own soon, but i'd like to read some comments expressing your views on immigration reform.

what are the important aspects of it?
what needs to change the most?
were you supportive or unsupportive of this latest immigration bill?
how do you feel about the term "silent amnesty"?

thanks for the imput.

: : edit : : thanks kelly. sure, pretty much anything that you think about immigration. what should we do about illegals? what should we do to make people legal?

Current Projects

1. Summer Chi Alpha
2. Fall Planning
3. Refinishing the dining table (darn students don't know what coasters are... you'd think they were raised in a barn!)
4. Reading about four books (I Sold My Soul on Ebay - by an atheist - very enlightening, God's Greatest Passion, Velvet Elvis - been working on this one for a while, it's a lot to take in, and others)
5. Building effective one on ones.

Yes, Gary, I know I should be support raising.

Seth's Current Project

My husband is actually painting his own car! Sanding, painting, clear coat, polish, the works. The fender he's gotten done so far looks really good... we'll see.

anyone know who Jeri Ryan is? i thought this was a pretty funny picture of her considering her Star Trek character.
