| lifes a tripso its been approximately 7 months since my last xanga entry totally weird, because myspace is totally OWNING this whole internet friend connection thing
oh how i miss my xanga. i shall fix it when i remember how. but since July, everything has been freakin crazy, and senior year, has been one hell of a ride--for sure. new friends, new experiences, new things------and there is only 3 months left of it. but yeah its about that time of year again, and its time for songfest.
Senior year is finally here, and of course there are people who love it and people who hate it, it being the theme. Which by the way, many of us have made our own titles to cause we don't definitely know what the name is. Haha. But some people have this notion that we, the class best known for their revolution theme, have conformed and i'd just like to clarify some things.
The Revolution, was a great theme. It happened at a point in our lives where high school was freakin hard, we hated all forms of the administration, but loved our teachers, we wanted to right the wrongs of our school. To come together, despite our differences, to show everyone who had this idea that 2007 was a class of misfits [which we were in freshman year]. We had been given the title as worst class ever, our teachers were afraid to have us. Everyone DOUBTED us---and that was the point of our revolution. To show everyone, that we could do everything, and anything that we wanted to, if we tried hard enough. That was our revolution. That was our time that we showed our school, that we weren't losers, that we weren't selfish, that we could work hard, and come out on top. And we proved them wrong.
Just because we don't have themes fighting or voicing our opinions doesn't mean that was all just for show. Its still apart of our class, and what we are today. Its made us who we are today. We're still in our own ways, fighting for what we do believe in---and the Revolution still exists. Trust me.
And please songfest haters, don't hate. Songfest isn't just about what themes we do, or what songs we sing, or if we're even on key, its just about working with our class and putting a show together. Something we can all have fun with. So could everyone please put their differences aside, and let go of their pride, cause songfest is just days away---and this will be the LAST time we will ever perform on stage. Four years summed up in one night----its gonna be great.
heres a word to the wise:
if EVERYONE is trying to be DIFFERENT, doesn't that make them ALL the SAME???
