| Here are the links to the quizzes for those of you that wanted them, plus 2 new ones
Sorry, I'm horrible about figuring out how to include links and all that. I was too lazy.
| You Are a Strawberry Margarita |
You're so sweet it's a little overwhelming, and people are a little afraid of corrupting you... It's a little difficult to imagine you with a margarita. And you're truly a different person after you've kicked back a couple! |

| You Are a Yellow Flower |
A yellow flower tends to represent joy, friendship, and playfulness. At times, you are childlike, as a buttercup is. And at other times, you are fickle, like a dahlia. And more than you wish, you tend to feel bittersweet, like a marigold. |

| You Are a Chocolate Chip Cookie |
Traditional and conservative, most people find you comforting. You're friendly and easy to get to know. This makes you very popular - without even trying! |

| Your Hair Should Be Orange |
Expressive, deep, and one of a kind. You pull off "weird" well - hardly anyone notices. |

| Wow I'm actually updating!
Okay.......yea, so I pretty much took a whole year off from xanga. I guess it was more or less replaced by facebook, and the fact that I was too lazy to update. But anyways, I'm back home now, drove back yesterday afternoon. My dad and stepmom came up on friday to pack up and bring home most of my stuff, and then I took the rest of it home yesterday (Saturday). I stayed @ SU friday night b/c a bunch of us hung out @ Lake Travis and Jess's house that night. I think that may have been the funnest night of the year- board games/card games til 5am. we were so delerious. lots and lots of memories Can't believe i'm done w/ the year, especially the fact that i'm officially, completely done w/ o-chem. what a wonderful feeling.
I was so sad drivin home yesterday, leaving everybody @ SU. I will miss all of y'all soo much! I can't go a whole summer w/o seeing everybody. We have to get together over the summer! I've got my spain trip coming up in about a month, and although i'm really excited and i know it will be a great experience, i'm afraid i'll get homesick, as i won't know anyone at all and i'll be speaking another language pretty much the entire time. i kinda scared....oh well, it will be ok. i think my flight connects in paris!
The moment i got home yesterday, around 4:30, I left for the mall w/ my sister to go mother's day shopping for my mom and stepmom. I think we were pretty successful. Then i went to my mom's house, and we all went out to eat mexican. my grandparents were there too, and my brother's girlfriend came with us. It was really nice to spend time w/ my family and eat some gooood food. Oh, and my brother got rid of all his hair; he has a buzz cut now. it was hard to get used to b/c he's had shaggy hair for about 4 yrs. he's growin up so fast. can't believe it.
Today was pretty cool. I woke up at 5:45 am (not so cool though) to go work at my dad's restaurant at 7am. My dad needed me to help out with a fundraiser for the local women's center. We were handing out handdipped chocolate covered strawberries to anyone that donated $5. So, in the lobby of the restaurant was a 4ft tall gourmet chocolate fountain! It was amazing! The chocolate was cascading over 4 tiers-it was soooo velvety smooth and smelled delicious. I'm not even a huge chocolate fan, but this was seriously awesome. I tried to sell the strawberries to all of the customers that came in the lobby, and also walked around to the tables while the customers were eating. Most of the time, I dipped the giant strawberries in the chocolate myself. muy muy divertido. I let some of the kids do it themselves though. All of the little kids were completely awe-stricken by it. One kid walked right up and dipped his hands into it. haha.
It was a lil frustrating though b/c most of the people thought the strawberries were complimentary, and so just started grabbing them from behind my back. I had to guard themvery carefully. A lot of people didn't want one after realizing they had to pay $5. Oh, and i got a free breakfast as usual. I got the special feature today, "Strawberry Fields," which is french toast made w/ a croissant, with strawberries and almonds and powdered sugar. Yummy.
Everybody, especially those of you in Houston need to come to the Egg and I! And see my new baby brother, who is absolutely the most adorable thing I've ever seen my life.
Jeez sorry that was so long. hopefully i can keep up the xanga thing over the summer. we'll see.
Happy Mother's Day! | | |

| Hey everybody! haven't updated in a while....haven't been doing too much other than workin and chillin @ home and shoppin. today was my last time to babysit for the lady i've been babysitting for this summer. it was kinda sad. her kids are so cute, especially the little 5 yr old boy named Sam. he loves collecting all types of cards-pokemon, yugio, baseball cards, etc. i've learned a lot about pokemon and yugio and the like. pretty interesting actually. Sam gave me a pikachu card! hehe. i was so excited. i think pikachu is the cutest one. i wish i was beginning the school year w/ more $$$, but i guess i've got enough to get by for a while. i'm still not sure what to do with my schedule, whether i should trade in nutrition for intro to comm, public speaking, spanish, or somethin else....hmmmm....must figure out soon.
oh yea, my brother has taken up a new activity-cheerleading! hahaha. 2 yrs ago he would have NEVER done anything so apparently "unmasculine" but now he is super pscyhed about it, even more than football. he doesn't do it at school, just does the competitve stuff-its more like gymnastics. he is soo strong though, so he's the perfect guy for it. and he loves doin flips. i can't believe he's a football player and a cheerleader.....tooo funny. i love it. i'm sad though b/c i won't be able to watch my brother's football games...i love watchin them. i used to go to everyone of his games for the past 8 yrs or so, and used to film them when my dad was the coach. he's got a game tommorrow but i have to work during it. dang it.
i can't believe school starts in 5 days! i'm coming back to SU friday night. i think my grandparents are going to come too! that will be nice. i can't wait to decorate my new, bigger room! i think it will be a great year.

| Let's see....what new and interesting things have happened lately....well my b'day was on saturday. it was really nice, even though i worked from 9-2. for breakfast my mom made me the traditional cinnamon roll with candles in it and sang happy b'day. we do that for everybody's b'day in my family. then she gave me a really nice card w/ some spending $ and an adorable new precious moments figurine to add to my collection, and after i got back from work my mom surprised me a beautiful bouquet of 19 pink and white roses. i love when the gifts are received here and there one at a time throughout the day. my mom is the sweetest. she knows exactly what i like. i loooove fresh flowers. (19 cuz i'm 19 of course) it is such a big bouquet and the house smells soooo nice b/c of them. i still have my flowers from my 17th b'day. hehehe.
then we went to the galleria and shopped til 10 o'clock! we went to dinner at an italian place near the galleria-"arcodoro" and sat on the outside patio. the food was so exotic and pretty much out of my league-everything was made w/ scallops or truffles or wild boar or something, but the dinner was very yummy. the only problem was some guys were drag racing and reving their engines in the parking lot of the restaurant. i didn't mind but everybody else kept complaining about their dinner being disturbed and wanted the manager to call the cops b/c "there was probably drug dealing goin on." haha. it was entertaining.
i can't believe i'm 19. just one more year being a teenager. man, 20 sounds so old to me. somebody the other day said that i actually seem to have the mind of a 40 yr old and the demeanor of a 15 yr old....not sure how to take that....but i guess it's kinda true....i guess i'm mature but approach life with the naivete and idealism and free spirit of a kid. i think i'll just act like a 10 yr old the rest of my life.
work has been pretty good. i'm tryin to rake in all the extra dough i can. i watered a lady's plants yesterday...it took me almost an hour for just the potted plants! she's got like 50 on one porch! normally i would have loved it, except i was in a big hurray yesterday trying to make it on time to my other job. i was runnin around the yard like crazy with the hose. hahaha. man she is nuts about flowers. her yard is absolutely breathtaking though.
i need the $ soo bad. it's what i'll be livin off of next year..and my dad won't be able to help me out much until the restaurant starts going strong, which will open up in december. oh well...it will all work out some how.
oh yea, last night i went to the angelia movie theatre downtown. man it is awesome. monday nights are "cheap date nights" and students get in for $6.00 plus a free large popcorn and large drink. it's the best thing ever. most of the movies are indie films. i've seen 2 so far and they were both excellent. very suspensful and engaging. the one i saw last night, "cronicas" was in spanish w/ subtitles. it was so good and everybody was so caught up in the suspense, but then the movie ended at the climax of the story. there was no resolution to the problem. the criminal escaped. oh well...that just made it more interesting i guess...we pretty much discovered who the criminal was...so it was all good. anybody in the houston area should definately check out monday nights at the angelika. it's freakin sweet!
k gotta go take a shower now....estoy muy sucia.....sorry it was so long. have a goodnight! | | |
