Yay.  I had forgotten what NORMAL Mondays and Wednesdays felt like.  So yeah, I stayed home from my night classes tonight and man did that feel good.  I'm not worrying to much since they were covering subnetting today, and after three months of doing nothing but subnetting, I should be able to do that shit in my sleep.  I should read up on it again though, just in case.  *sigh*  The most important shit in this entire quarter and I already know it.  Maybe these classes are a waste of money and I should just go back to volunteering.  Too bad the city won't hire me to be a contract network technician.  I think I'd learn a lot more there than working at the computer helpdesk.  The helpdesk sux.  There's no way in hell that I'm going to stay there all day and just reset passwords.  I'm going to go stir crazy.

Hopefully after my contract with the helpdesk is over (and assuming they don't renew the contract) I'll have enough cash saved so that I can volunteer with the networking group again and learn some PRACTICAL knowledge.  Fooey.

Yeah! It's back to work babies!  Word from the wise- SCHOOL SUCKS.  I thank god everyday that I'm done with all that rubbish.  Sure, I learned a lot, but how am I applying that knowledge?  No, no.  Wrong question.   AM I applying that knowledge?  The answer is NO.  I should have majored in something useful like EE or CompSCI.  Sure Japanese was good fun, and I experienced a grip of things I would otherwise never be able to do, but only after graduation, does one truly appreciate the worthlessness of a bachelors degree in Japanese.

I look at some of my coworkers and I KNOW I'm smarter than them, and I KNOW that I know more than them, yet I earn half as much and it gets depressing.  If only I had a better degree...  I'm taking these night classes at a local community college so I can get my training for Cisco networking technology and it's pretty tough.  On top of that, it's time consuming.  I'm here on this rinky-dink campus until 9pm on Monday and Wednesdays.  Class starts at 5:45, about an hour after I get off work, so pretty much I get bombarded with shit from 7:45am - 9:00pm.  Coffee.  Coffeee... Must have coffee...

All this effort better lead to a better job, or there's gonna be hell to pay.  $60,000/yr at age 25.  :D  OOH, I can see it already!

Hmm... I'll also have to update that picture down there.  The collection grew over the weekend.  By April, there will be two more pieces.  Yes, bring the $60,000 to me now!
