For some reason I can't get into the Olympics. I have watched them maybe for about five minutes. I just think they are totally boring. But everyone is talking about them etc. so I consider myself a scrooge toward the Olympics. I have nothing against the Olympics I just have other stuff I would rather be doing. I have started on some more sewing projects. My sock monkeys are getting boring but I do need to finish them for up coming gifts. I have started making some purses/diaper bags. I carry a big purse because I put all of Savannah's stuff in it. I am also going to make some curtains. I didn't realize how easy sewing is with a pattern. Usually everything I make is from my head and requires thinking. But with a pattern I think I could make anything. I have some outfits I want to make for Savannah....when will I ever find the time? She loves my sewing machine and so does Zander. I left it on one day and Zander stepped on the petal twice and started it up. At least he hasn't put teeth marks in it yet.
I have been thinking today is Tuesday all day. David went racing yesterday in Indy and was gone from 8-5 then he went and worked from 7-12. He is an over achiever when it comes to working but I was the same way.
We went to Brown County State Park this weekend. Savannah wanted to ride the horses again. This time she rode Buster. She loves it so much and she wanted to go faster this time. I think when she gets older riding lessons will be a must. We also stopped at the Brown County Winery. I find wineries fascinating just the whole growing grapes etc. My parents make wine, and just give it away. I did help them make the labels from their last batch. When I worked David and I would go to very nice lavish wine tastings and dinners. But those were the days. (Now I would spend the money on Savannah or put it in her college fund) Of course I don't drink much wine anymore, maybe a glass occasionally. Also we stopped at a road side stand in Brown County and bought some sweet corn....it was very good. We took it over to a friends house on Sat. and they loved it also. Now I want to go back and get some more. Hopefully my parents will have corn from their gardens.
Tomorrow Savannah starts Kindermusik. I think she will love it. She sings all the time and dances. So I hope it is something we both can enjoy doing.
Yesterday at church I had to go and get her from the nursery. She was crying because she wanted me. My number on my badged blinked up on the screen and I thought, "oh no". So I run to get her and she looked at me and said, Mommy, miss you. My heart just sunk. I never leave her so when I do I feel bad. So I sat with her through the lesson and then they got a snack and I left and she was fine.
She has been sleeping through the night. She usually falls asleep at 11 and wakes up between 8-9, which I think is excellent for her. She has also been sleeping on her Dora sheets and comforter which has helped! I just need to buy her a bed. Right now she sleeps on her crib matress on the floor but she rolls all around and even ends up opposite from where I laid her down so I am scared to get her a big bed. Plus she has no fear she would jump on it and fall head first so even if I have the rails she would try to jump off of it. So I am actually thinking of a toddler bed. I would have much more peace at night knowing she is not going to dive off of a bed. But she still does sleep in her playyard which it getting a little snug for her. So a bed might be one of her birthday presents. Also when she does sleep upstairs, I wish I could wake up and see her.....like I have done for almost the past two years so I think sometime I would love to invest in a video monitor. So I could just turn the TV on and see her instead of walking up the stairs. I think this would also be handy for a second child also. The first night she slept upstairs I woke up every two hours and checked on her. It is why I love the whole family sleeping in the same room it is so comforting. David thinks the same. If I could build our house over I would make our bedroom bigger to hold another bed.
Well I have rambled on and on.......I have lots of housework waiting.

She is upset in this picture because she doesn't want to get off Buster.
I had to post this picture of the hail storm we had last week. Our porch stayed very icy for a couple of hours. Savannah said she was playing in snow.
