  • Work

I got a second job on Wednesday after dropping mom off at the airport. Yes, it was a very productive day. I now work at JC Penny. I'm excited about it, cause my friend Jessica works there and she really likes it, so I figure I'll like working there pretty well too. I figure I'll try to work 2 days at Wal-Mart and 4 at JC Penny so that I have a day off once a week. Seems good to me. yay!

  • WTF.

I went back to ER this Sunday, exactly 3 weeks after the last time. For the same thing, only bigger. I had a 4 mm. kidney stone hanging out in my ureter( the tube between the kidney and bladder.) I went home Sunday evening with orders that if I had not passed the stone to call the hospital's urologist. I still hadn't passed the stone on Wednesday, but was in no pain, so I called and got an appointment with the urologist and went to see him. He said since I wasn't in any pain it should be fine, but gave me some pills to help dialate the ureter and get it out the rest of the way.

Thursday morning I woke up at 8 AM to excruciating pain. Its.. Back..! It had actually never left. By  4 PM I had been admitted into the hospital for emergency removal surgery. He went in with a little basket on the end of a tube and scooped it right out. It looks like an itty bitty jagged cinder block. rectangular and painful. I was back at home before 10 PM. yay efficient doctor.

He told mom that the stone was almost entirely made of calcium, and that in 3 weeks I needed to come in and make an appointment so that we could go over some dietary regulations that should help avoid me getting more little death stones. Seriously, when 4 doses of pain meds, (morphine, etc. ) in 2 hours can't dull the pain, there's really nothing else to call it. Hm.. we'll see what happens.
