| Well, it is becoming real. I have officially called the gas and electric companies to turn off everything on the 31st. I am selling books and cds tonight at Half Price Books. I am trying to pencil in all my friends for some quality time. My replacement at Cater's was hired yesterday. Life is moving forward. It is scary and exciting all at once. Everyone keeps asking me what I am going to do. I don't know the answer, and I am just not that concerned. No matter what, God always provides. I actually like to work. I enjoy meeting new people and hearing their stories. I know that I will put in the effort to stay connects with my friends here. I am not worried...which is weird for me. I am sure this new chapter will be a page-turner. Stay tuned! | | |
| My new favorite song"Famous In A Small Town"
They say life is so much sweeter Through the telephoto lens of fame Around here you get just as much attention Cheerin' at the high school football game
I dreamed of going to Nashville Put my money down and placed my bet But I just got the first buck of the season I made the front page of the Turnertown Gazette
Every last one, route one, rural hearts got a story to tell Every grandma, in law, ex girlfriend Maybe knows you just a little too well Whether you're late for church or you're stuck in jail Hey words gonna get around Everybody dies famous in a small town
Tyler and Casey broke up It ended pretty quietly We heard he was caught red-handed with her mama That's just what they let us all believe
Every last one, route one, rural hearts got a story to tell Every grandma, in law, ex girlfriend Maybe knows you just a little too well Whether you're late for church or you're stuck in jail Hey words gonna get around Everybody dies famous in a small town
Baby who Needs their faces in a magazine Me and you We've been stars of the town since we were 17
Let's go on down to the quick stop Wear your yellow shades And I'll put on my tight jeans And we'll just spend the weekend burnin' rubber And we'll let em point and stare in disbelief
Every last one, route one, rural hearts got a story to tell Every grandma, in law, ex girlfriend Maybe knows you just a little too well Whether you're late for church or you're stuck in jail Hey words gonna get around Everybody dies famous in a small town
| Do you ever wonder? When will I stop talking like I did in high school? Things I say that an adult person should not say: Dude I was like, she was like, we were like, they were like my bad whatever Maybe I will continue to talk like this forever, and it shows just what generation I am a part of...whatever. Perhaps, I should stick to my slang from the 80's and 90's and not todays: snap off the hook or chain that's how we roll Will todays teens still be talking like that in their thirties?????? | | |
| My JoshFive years ago, Brittany told me that she would not be coming home for the summer. That made me sad on many levels but mostly because I didn't want to do Vacation Bible School without her. I decided that I would retire from music and find some other way to help. That is when a miracle occurred...Josh came up to me one Sunday and said-I want to be your Brittany. Ha! Famous last words. Little did he know just how much I needed a Brittany. We have been together ever since. I could not do it without him. I think young men working in Bible School is so important because of the lack of male role models that boys have these days. The children get to see Josh acting crazy and having fun every night. I love the whole week. Tonight is the last night...and quite possibly the final vbs for TEAM TINA(me, Josh, and Brodi). I am truly blessed. | | |
| BECAUSE OF YOU I will not make the same mistakes that you did I will not let myself cause my heart so much misery I will not break the way you did You fell so hard I've learned the hard way, to never let it get that far
Because of you I never stray too far from the sidewalk Because of you I learned to play on the safe side So I don't get hurt Because of you I find it hard to trust Not only me, but everyone around me Because of you I am afraid
I lose my way And it's not too long before you point it out I cannot cry Because I know that's weakness in your eyes I'm forced to fake, a smile, a laugh Every day of my life My heart can't possibly break When it wasn't even whole to start with
Because of you I never stray too far from the sidewalk Because of you I learned to play on the safe side So I don't get hurt Because of you I find it hard to trust Not only me, but everyone around me Because of you I am afraid
I watched you die I heard you cry Every night in your sleep I was so young You should have known better than to lean on me You never thought of anyone else You just saw your pain And now I cry In the middle of the night For the same damn thing
Because of you I never stray too far from the sidewalk Because of you I learned to play on the safe side So I don't get hurt Because of you I tried my hardest just to forget everything Because of you I don't know how to let anyone else in Because of you I'm ashamed of my life because it's empty Because of you I am afraid
Because of you Because of you
