  • My New Gap Logo Proposal

You may have seen or heard that Gap just adopted a new logo.  Not many are too happy with that so I propose that they hire me, a professional, to design their new logo and adopt this instead.  Fortunately, for them, I spent a good 60 seconds and created a masterpiece.  I present to you my proposal.

  • My racist kids

Vacation Bible school 2009 // Long Beach Corps

Lincoln gathered the kids in a circle.  It was game time with Lincoln and Chris.

“Okay, we’re going to get a chance to get to know one another.  Let’s try this quiz.  My name is Lincoln and my favorite fruit is watermelon.  What’s your favorite color?”  He pointed to a child.

    “Purple.”  She whispered.

“Okay, so what’s my favorite fruit?”

    “Watermelon!”  The kids screamed.

So Lincoln asked, “What’s her favorite color?”

    “Purple!”  They screamed.

Lincoln blurted, “What’s Chris’ favorite subject in school?”

“Math!”  They all yelled in unison.

“I didn’t say that!”  I screamed as I laughed.  “Kids, I didn’t even say my favorite subject!”

Lincoln looked in amazement at me and we started laughing while the kids stayed silent not knowing what just took place.

  • ANYWAY – Mother Teresa adaptation

    I like this.

    ANYWAY

    People
    are unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered.
    Love them anyway.

    If
you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
    Be kind anyway.

    If
you are successful, you will win some false friends and true enemies.
    Succeed anyway.

    The
good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
    Be good anyway.

    Honesty
and frankness will make you vulnerable.
    Be honest and frank anyway.

    What
you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
    Build anyway.

    People
need help but will attack you if you help them.
    Help them anyway.

    In
the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.

*Kent Keith originated this poem in 1968, and Mother Teresa placed it on her
children’s home in Calcutta in a slightly different version. As a result,
many have attributed it to Mother Teresa.

  • ¡¡¡16!!! haHA!! YAYAH!!!!

I started out to do 25 but then I couldn’t think of anything else dumb to write so I just conveniently stopped at 16 and hey guess what! There’s a weird thingy survey/random fact 16 thing out there. So here are 16 random things that in some way, shape or form have to do with me. Why? Because it’s my facebook and I can. So you do it too, because I want to read yours.

1.) When required to write a numbered list I like to write them followed by a period, parenthesis then a double space. I don’t recall who instructed me to do a double space after each sentence but I don’t see it practiced that often. Maybe it was Mavis Beacon, one of my typing teachers along with Mario.

2.) As children my brothers and I would not be allowed soda so now that I am older I savor every drop of the precious sweetened beverage. It is a sacred food item not to be treated lightly or with contempt.

3.) I got bugs living in my rice. I have a 50 pound bag so I don’t want to waste it so each time I eat thy rice I must wash out those wretched creatures from my food before I cook it in my expensive Korean rice cooker.

4.) I like babies a lot. They are my favorite creatures. They’re like cute puppies except they wear diapers and are humans. I like to spend as much time with them as possible because they’re innocent little people who possess all the hope and potential in the universe. Their joy is pure and their little eyes do not lie.

5.) My life goal is to change the entire world. One step at a time. One step at a time… I’m climbing my mountain.

6.) I need to see a chiropractor or something because I do the neck whip to crack it and I know that’s not healthy and when I see other people do it it looks all spastic.

7.) I don’t know if I’m particularly picky or something because although I appreciate all types of music, I do not enjoy listening to all of them most of the time. I’ve moved from hip-hop to r&b and soul. Anything with a catchy beat hook or funky bass line. I also enjoy pop music.

8.) I sleep with baseball bat by my bed and a thing of mace. Oh and I have a hammer in the bathroom as well as these custom made cardboard tube bats strategically hidden around the house.

9.) I loooooooove pastries. The doughy goodness baked into spongy delight. Or golden crispy because it’s fried. It’s my favorite. Good cake. Good donut. I love the texture as I eat it. I like to bite into it and destroy it with my teeth.

10.) I bought an aluminum slurpee straw and it makes the slurpees taste better.

11.) I have three bluetooth earpieces because I got one for free from my mom when she upgraded and got three other ones on ecost.com. (I had the jabra stolen from my house, thus the three left. Oh, wait. I just found another one.)

12.) When I was younger I would order a hamburger no matter what restaurant we went to. This is because they are good, meaty and filling.

13.) I really really really like playing tetris against people. Even more I like Dr. Mario. Oh yeah.

14.) My house has no insulation because it was built before dinosaurs roamed the earth. So it’s either freezing cold or sweltering hot.

    15.) I don’t read. (I can’t read?) I haven’t read a book in quite some time. I don’t have motivation/time?

16.) I like reading and I like writing but I rarely do either. I’ve always loved literature but I don’t have that much motivation. I guess I’ll have to start if I’m to write movies and junk.

23.) Jim Carrey and Joel Schumacher

    24.) Tony Almeda
