hello long lost isb friends!

    or perhaps we are the ones who were long lost. things have kinda calmed for isb (though not really for us) for a little while since our busy february, we've been writing thesis papers, participating in the madness of march, and catching up on school/work/church things that kinda get the side when we are doing band things. but we are partially coming back for some things in april. and by partially i mean isb ourselves are only traveling one place altogether- east 91st street church in indiana, with a special appearance at brad's church (central christian church- carmel) for sunday morning services! the east 91st street event is their middle school purity retreat, so unless you are 10-14 age range, i'm afraid you are out of luck. but sunday morning is for everybody (or course- it's church!).the middle school retreat is april 25th-26th, and that sunday is the 27th. you can check on the myspace page for times, and if you need directions, you can always message us. we are extremely excited to be back up in indiana, with both new and old friends.

    other then that, isaac and myself (tim) will be in hotlanta next weekend for the passion conference, but unfortunately we won't be playing anything (though it would be amazing if we were). so if you see two random dudes amongst the flocks of random people, please say hi! (an aside- the word hospitality literally means "love of strangers". so maybe we really will meet if we took this great opportunity to meet and take interest in those around us while we are there. just a thought- and thanks to dr. k and my christ and culture class for that bit of knowledge.) then the next weekend brad and i will be in maryland for the first ever Reverb Conference (basically the Maryland Christian Teen Convention, just not named so). so while isb is not going to be there, the current 2/3rds of them will be! it's going to be a great weekend, and if you're around, you should stop by for a bit, or be coming to it!

    we'll keep you posted through these april events. unfortunately (for isb- very fortunately for brad) after april brad will be marrying his high school sweetheart kelly, and thus isb will be taking a well necessary hiatus for the summer. there might be some glimpses of us towards the end of the summer, but brad and kelly setting up their life seems like much more a priority then our attempts at being rock stars, don't you agree? once the fall hits, we'll know much more of where things are at. the good news is that during this down time, we still plan on starting our writing and preliminary recording process, which means before long we could have some new song offerings for you all. also, the looks of things around the world wide web might start changing before your eyes with the launch of our new website- www.isaacschadeband.com- soon to be had (i know i told you this before, but i promise you this time it's close). so in summation- come to indiana or maryland (or come see us if you are already there), be excited for brad and kelly, and in the meantime of no music, keep your eyes on the web, and the joy of new music in the works for your listening pleasure.

we wanna be so cold

no we haven't changed the lyrics to our song "so close." this was simply the best description of what illinois was for us: cold. freezing hands. chapped lips (and chap stick and things like chemistry). red ears. rosy cheeks. ice. AWESOME. despite the rainy, icy, snowy conditions, we had a blast in illinois. we got to leave a day early and spend the night at brad's house which is always a blast. he got to spend some time w/ his family and his soon to be family (i.e. kelly).

on friday we continued on to tennessee, illinois (ironic huh??) where we of course got lost due to the spectacularly flawless mapquest directions, but it was all okay b/c we had movies and arrested development to watch that took us home! eventually we found our way to lamoine christian service camp.

the kids rocked, our digs were amazing, the gym we spent the whole weekend in was fantastic. most importantly, about 100 of us came together for a period of 72 hours to lift up the name of our father and encounter him.

thanks to josh, jeff, and whitney for having us and the great job you do with the students.

the craziest part of the weekend was the drive home. the last session was over sunday night. we didn't get to leave until 11.30 eastern time. we were driving through the night in icy conditions to get brad back for german class. 12 hours and 1 speeding ticket later we literally arrived back on campus at the exact moment brad's class started.

we have several openings through the semester and in the late summer through the end of the year. if you have a need we'd love to join you in worship!

Howdy howdy howdy (a little toy story shout out)...

The day is Tuesday, February 5, 2008. The place is Isaac's apartment where he sits by his roommate Josh while they watch Seinfeld. George is currently wearing the world's ugliest toboggan (we can argue about the naming of the hat versus the sled in some other forum) and trying to weasel his way out of getting a busboy fired from a restaurant.

In any event, we had a great time in Mississippi! It was the most laid back environment we had ever been in for a worship experience. The students were a blast to be with, Bobby Jo (the president) is one cool cat with a beatufiul new boy, and Robin Sigars (the speaker) is always a blast and joy to be with.

For the first time ever, we performed an acoustic set of our songs off of we.need.you. it was a blast and well received (at least we hope it was...haha). also we officially buried the hatchet with Johnson Bible College by ending years of feuding done between Milligan and JBC. we met some very lovely young men who made our time all the more enjoyable.

Up next: Pledge 2 Purity. This will actually be the first time we will stay here in good ole' Johnson City to play music. We are very excited and can't wait to meet Justin Lookadoo. He looks like a really fun individual.

hey all in isb cyber-world!

we are extremely excited to be getting kicked back into gear for the new year! we already have a bunch of travels confirmed and talking through a whole lot more. i (tim) am sitting in the upstairs of grandview as practice ensues for sunday services, thusly waiting my turn for some isb prep time for february, which has become a traveling month for us (to some extent- p2p is in jc, so that's like 20 minutes of travel total. if you need to know what those abbriviations mean, or where else we are heading- check out our myspace page). we've all kinda gotten settled back into the school rhythm except isaac, who still has 2 weeks left of break (inset napoleon dynamite- "lucky"). speaking of isaac- it's his birthday tomorrow, so if you are around make sure you wish him happy birthday, or a comment about being old if you're in that kinda mood. we are also most assured to have many surprises this year and other isb awesomeness to be watching out for as we try to expand ourselves a little more to become a real band. like for instance- our new website! it's not up just yet. our friend shea has graciously lended his talents to put us on the www map for real. but if you want a simple place to access all isb internet offerings, there is a placeholder on the page that has links to xanga (here), myspace (there), and e-mail. and the spectacular address for the website, you say? brad- drum roll please...

imagine that! anyway, within a few weeks we'll have our center of the isb-web located there, with an all in one website for everything. so check that out. we also are loaded back up with cd's, but have a lot to give out coming up here- so if you want one shoot us an e-mail and we'll get one off to you. and it's also on itunes, amazon, and rhapsody. we are also might be devising a secret plan for you to aquire it faster and for no cost, since we'll be surely running out of actual cd's quickly. who knows- you'll just have to wait.

welp, i think that's about it for now. practice is wrapping up here anyway. be sure:

hello isb-ites!

we have fantastic news for you. our liasion to the online music community has broght us (and you) an early christmas present! we.need.you. is officially on itunes! this was a fantastical find as of last night. the album is also up on amazon's mp3 downloads, rhapsody (if you have such service), and on disc revolt (if you want a nifty little card with your online purchase). so choose your poison. or maybe better put, your preferred method. buying we.need.you. won't kill you. in fact, we hope just the opposite. anyway, if you had been wanting to buy it, and not receive it for free, now is your chance. actually, for the time being, that's your only means. we are pretty much out of free cd's for the time being, but will be restocking over christmas for february music fun. but you can still ask. we might be able to find a few

as for the rest of isb life, it's good. we are pretty much out of school (minus one or two exams) and are about to head home for christmas break to some family time, rest, and fantastic food. we just finished up some photography phun- we needed some 'band shots' for some offical promo stuff, and our singing friend tyler also happens to be a maestro behind the camera. so we headed to seeger for some glamour shots. we'll have some of those pics up soon for your enjoyment (many of them turned out horrible for -promo items, but hysterical for viewing sake thanks to tyler's tempermental timer). we'll also be working on promo packets to give out to magazines and other 'bigger' things in an attempt to get some feedback from the higher-ups.

that's it for now, friends. i'm going to continue my lazy day of tv (oh how i love scrubs) and messing around with isb's internet fun. good luck on exams and test, and then we beg you to do nothing, be lazy, and hang with family for a bit. it's all we ask for the holidays. that, and share the word with your family and friends about our little world here.

SCROLL DOWN TO SEE SOME PICTURES FROM FCYC!

has anyone heard the newest iron & wine album? i can't decide if i like it or not.

well things are winding down for us in the school realm. this time next week, i will be sitting comfortably at my mother's house in indianapolis, sipping tea and regaling her with stories of adventures. not really. i will probably be shoveling snow, which i secretly love to do. there was 5 inches on the ground this past week in the hoosier state. absolutely beautiful.

we won't be traveling for a month or so, but that does not mean that we are taking a break. if anything, it just means that we have time to catch up on things we couldn't do while we were on the road. for better or worse, there is about twice as much administrative stuff to be done than there is actual music making. we have spent the last few days answering emails, updating some files that we keep pertaining to the shows that we play, meeting with some people that help us out and hook us up in a big way, and getting CD orders ready for mailing. that is a job that i especially enjoy. it is just beyond humbling and spine-tingling exciting to see someone's name on a package that contains our music, and to know that that certain package will be traveling across the country and into their waiting hands. all i can say to the people that have already requested a CD is "thank you. thank you. thank you." and to those of you who have not yet told us that you want one, all i can say is "why do you hate free things?"

once again, a big and special thank you to the people of The Well in johnson city, tn. your beautiful generosity effects more people than just the band here. because of you, we have now broken even on all the production costs of the first run of CDs. and a BIG and special thank you to all our wonderful friends at FCYC and common ground church in tampa, fl. your overwhelming generosity has made it possible for us to go ahead and order another run of CDs for the people we will be seeing in the spring time. see how this works? isn't it fantastic? the kingdom of god is right here.
