is it wrong to want more attention in a relationship-

am i being needy or is it necessary?

shouldn't i be able to feel secure-

or should i work on my independence?

i suck at answering my own questions.

this just sucks.

Going Postal
Death Cab for Cutie's Ben Gibbard has started working on the second album from his Postal Service side project -- albeit at a snail's pace. "We're crawling right now, and whether that crawl turns into a walk remains to be seen," the singer-guitarist says. Gibbard and producer-musician Jimmy Tamborello have two songs written for their follow-up to the Service's Give Up, which dropped in 2003 and featured the sleeper hit "Such Great Heights."

random orrcurances, thoughts, aspirations.

i actually have a real job now at an irrigation company. it started at the end of the school year and i've already been promoted. my main focus used to be just drafting plot plans, but now i'm "Project Coordinator"....which basically means "organize all of the boss' shit." i can deal with that.

i've seemed to have lost a portion of my body. about 11 lbs now. i've started to care about what goes into my mouth and even dabble a little in the exercise department (and when i say little i mean a lot). i'm finding myself more confident these days - either from growing older or losing weight..who knows. i need to buy pants that fit.

i was in the bathroom the other day when i noticed something black on my right hip. upon closer inspection, i realized that it was a squished spider...or so i thought. i freaked out and tried to flick it off, but he was stuck. i wetted a paper towel and decided to pick him off of me (i decided it was a "he" because no lady spider would latch on to these hips like this one could), only to find that he was still alive. i hurriedly unlatched the spider off of my hip and saw a little circle of red where he had been previously stuck. apparently, he was sucking my hip-blood.

i don't know what it is with reality television shows, but lately i find myself falling in love with the men being broadcasted on these programs.

Exhibit A:

the should have been winner of American Idol Chris Daughtry. excuse my french, but he was fuckin' sizzlin'. i'm a sucker for sideburns and gruff...oh, and any bald singing sensation (ruben not included).

Exhitbit B:

straight from So You Think You Can Dance : Musa Cooper. if you've ever seen this man move, you'd know exactly why i'm infatuated. if he's that good on stage i wonder where else he's....

Exhibit C:

Doug Heffernan. okay, so King of Queens isn't exactly a reality show...and Doug Heffernan is just a character..but i can still love him (in the court of law, no...but for online journal's sake...yes). sure, chris and musa are visually appealing...but they lack what doug has : the perfect personality. he's quirky, hilarious, sweet........hilarious. this is the type of guy i will marry one day. if he so happens to come in the body of musa..bonus for me.

aaaaand...i'm spent.

a four year sentence has ended,

parties have been attended,

a quarry was swam in,

clothing articles have been lost,

asking out on dates have taken place,

sex and sadness mixes have been made,

long car rides have been driven,

tears have been shed,

things have been pierced,

friends have been lost,

friends have been made,

hearts have fallen in love,

these memories have been made.

and thus is our life after high school. may the days ahead fulfill the promise of the weeks past.

HERE'S TO THE FUTURE.
