Well fellow operatives, it seems we are getting all cozy.
We may not know each others faces other than through generic kabuki masks, but I think we have developed a sort of family.
Maybe a shipwrecked crew on our very own Gilligans Island - hmmm, and does that carry its very own unresolved tensions? - I sometimes suspect there could well be Neurocrushes (tm) developing on the part of Operatives who are an ocean apart from others.
But hey, if ever a place were to exists where attraction might develop based on personality expressed through written word, unidentifiable glimpses of ourselves or anatomy, or even the company we keep -this is the place to be.
And then there are those who cannot but help adding more masks upon the skin tight kabuki masks we find necessary to play - rather than the Operative who has created a persona, and then finds that persona to actually be an aspect of the Self given a certain freedom of expression, there are those Operatives who believe their life is so mysterious and esoteric that they have transplanted their daily existance into the Neurosphere because now they have a stage in which to play out their Foucalt's Pendulum fantasies.
Of these Operatives, ironically, by their attempts to be more mysterious and esoteric than Neurocam itself, induce us to care even less about them and their foibles.
(And maybe I'm sometimes guilty of being among them.)
These such Operatives of course should not be confused with those Operatives who have come as they are and have thrown caution to the wind for the opportunity of experience, and not actually attempt to shape that experience to a preconceived ideal.
But here comes the drum.
Has there been an assumed trust developing amongst the Operatives - a by-product of our digital familiarity. An invitation to a Neurocam gathering no longer generates the suspicion, the unsurety, the gastrointestinal butterfly's that once lurked as a result of that famous piece of Tarantino inspired footage many of us were first exposed to.
Are you too comfortable?
Are you too trusting?
Are you too complacent?
Are you too revealing?
