Illustration Friday

I also wanted to participate in this week's Illustration Friday while I had a chance, early as it is. This week's theme: Magic.

For me, the wonders of nature often make me think the world is truly magical. Our backyard in summer is one of my favorite places, with the canopy of trees and the lilting fantasy-world feel brought on by the visiting fireflies and glistening flowerbuds and the low hum of crickets and the toads who live in the creek that runs past our house.

so fantastically whimsical! i've never seen a firefly...you'll have to post a picture when they're around! i want to pitch a tent in your back yard! (if you see wheel-treads in the grass this summer, you'll know it's me trying to catch toads and fireflies!:))
