Halloween and Knitting

Trick or Treating in my cousin’s neighborhood was Sunday afternoon and not on Halloween.  I was the treat distributor to answer the door when small children came--I was the only adult in the house not wearing some scary mask!  I knit during lulls between groups of ghosts, goblins, and cavemen arriving at the door.  (Caveman seemed to be a very popular costume this year!)

There has been some question as to whether I am knitting the scarf I keep mentioning.  Here’s the evidence:

I’m definitely not Mrs. Weasley.  I can not charm my needles like Mrs. Weasley does!  If I could, my Gryffindor House Scarf would be finished and not just half done.  (notice my wand next to me--useless object, unless used for it's actually purpose, knitting.)

Will I finish before November 18th?  Perhaps the question I should ask is whether I’ll have enough burgundy wool to finish?  I started the third of four skeins just after going over half way.  Having enough to fringe will be an issue!

That is such a funny picture.  I think the humour is in it being a Hogwarts scarf, and it looks like a lot of work you've done on it so far.

You are way ahead of me on the scarf. I just keep knitting and knitting well, you know... it never ends!

Ha! I'm worried about running out before I get the tassles on too! I'm doing the big striped-version of this (from the movies?)...and I've got 1/2 of the last yellow stripe left, and 1 more maroon stripe before I'm done. I hope to finish it tonight, dare I just jinxed myself. But there's no way I'm going to get the Slytherin one done before opening for my husband...

Yours looks great!
