Is the Philippines the New Afghanistan?

Well. I'm typing this in Kabul, Afghanistan and based from appearances, Philippines is a long way off becoming the "New Afghanistan" as Michelle Malkin points out. However she does have a point. If our government continues to "tolerate" insurgency in the South and not wipe it out immediately then it would become harder and harder to get a U.S. visa.
