I had this question in the comments from yesterday’s blog, “God IS Good”: “Any particular reason you've realized this today?" Well first of all I’d have to say that I’ve been saying this for quite a while and occasionally place it in a blog, so it’s not something I’ve just realized today. Secondly, no matter what my circumstances, no matter how I feel, God IS Good and nothing I can say, feel, do, etc. can change that fact, so I do not need a specific reason to say, “God IS Good!”
Matthew 19 17 … there is none good but one, that is, God: …
Psalm 52 1 … the goodness of God endureth continually.
Romans 2 4 …the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance…
There is none good but God. Think of all the things we consider good, but their goodness pales in the light of God’s goodness, which endures forever and is the reason for our repentance.
Romans 11 22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
Those who ignore His goodness and His gift of repentance will feel His severity; those who choose to recognize and partake of His goodness will continue in it and not be cut off.
So what was my reason for yesterday’s blog? Just to acknowledge the fact that God IS Good and that He does good and to urge you, too, to confess to Him, to yourself and to the world that He IS Good!
2 Thessalonians 1 11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
And again I say!
God IS Good!

I received the following prayer request from gdy80. Please pray for this young girl and her family and go to her site and leave a few kind words of encouragement.
limedew (7/12/2002) one of the hardest days of my life. my mom only has a couple days to live. the tumors have now obstructed her upper intestine, forcing her digestive system to shut down. she will eventually starve to death. it is so so hard. just pray for her that she doesn't have too much pain, and for my family as we have to let her go.
