| | Discussing animation today really interested me. I wasn't liking the idea too much last night, but now that I've seen examples and know what we're supposed to be doing, I feel a little better about the whole idea.
In the sample powerpoint, I think I'm liking the pixilation aspect of animation, but I have not been able to find any examples at the moment. I think they have used pixilation in a scene from the movie, Garden State. At the end of the film, a couple is in the airport hugging, and they are the only ones at a stand-still, when everyone else is moving around. Now that I think about, I think it's also used in a party scene in the film. Zach Braff's character is just sitting on the couch, while everyone else around him is moving.
Maybe that's why I'm drawn to pixilation so much, because that's one of my favorite movies, and I just thought the filming in it was amazing. Now I know that the effect they used to do that, was probably pixilation.
Going to try to find some other examples now, before I start on the project.

Here's a website I found with videos that use pixilation or stop motion.
