A Call to Help

Click here to read a very touching illustration of why we should be providing better benefits for our soldiers and their families, as well as our veterans of wars past. This was something that is important to John Kerry, and I hope that it is important to Bush as well.  It will be something that will be on my checklist of issues to look at for any candidate I vote for the next time around.

Write your newspaper or congressman. Throw in a little something about how all children deserve to have affordable health insurance as well.

Thank you for helping with this. I'm trying to figure out some way to get everyone in the blogosphere to talk about it, then maybe we can get the talk shows, etc, to join in. Just think of it as "Daddy's crusade."

You might want to change your link to go directly to my post at http://smalltownveteran.typepad.com/posts/2004/11/caring_for_thos.html instead of my main site. There are a lot of things on my main site that people either agree with you about or agree with me about but not both. I'll mention your post at http://smalltownveteran.typepad.com/posts/2004/11/i_haven.html and add a trackback to the original post for you (to help me keep score).

I love you. I guess as a Daddy and a veteran there's no way I can ignore this issue.I'll even say nice things about Kerry if he gets on board.
