wow. haven't blogged in xanga for awhile... it's mainly because i don't have internet in my room.. which actually made me more productive coz i never could stalk other ppl's xangas and facebooks and what not..

anyways, been working A LOT... did i make a lot of money, I don't know.. i certainly don't feel like I did, coz my checking account constantly gets close to zero or minus everytime i have some big payment to make.. like car insurance (600 dollars), summer school (don't ask if you're instate), and rent (550)..

i've become so focused on money.. i've become stingy with money, i pick up pennies from the ground.. and i hate bad tippers. or more like, i have no respect for them, and i judge them. badly.

so i've been saving up as much as i can.. i go to the bank every week and make a deposit (of my tips)..

but today i saw this amazing ad about the sidekick id.. and i've been wanting it since months ago... and it said $99 so i clicked on the BUY! button like a crazy person.. but of course, it's not $99 for me, it's $299.. hah

oh, and i'm taking Econ 303 Money and Banking class.. very interesting.. although it's mostly incomprehensible to me.. like the financial jargon is really hard to grasp. but yeah, from that, i learned that i can make money by saving at the bank and earning an interest... (which may not be that much) but STILL! makes me feel richer by the minute.. hehe.. and i check my online banking account as much as possible to see if the number in my account has increased or not... ooOH the excitement when it IS higher...

so that's my rambling of the night.. i should go back to my reading.. i have to read TWo chapters coz i slacked off last weekend.. blah..

oh yeah, there was graduation... which i was supposed to be at and graduate.. but yeah.. my life isn't that simple i guess. i kinda envy those who graduated, but then i'm also relieved that i still get to stay... hmm..

i miss my friends in korea.. i miss jungin unni. i need some sleep.

Major changes.

Two major changes and a few trivial ones.

My dad's leaving tomorrow. He's been posted to Sakhalin, a part of Russia, and the rest of the family is staying, because the place doesn't even have a decent international school for my brother. This has never happened before, our family was always together, no matter where we went (except when I went to college). It's a really weird feeling, I feel lost and sad. In fact, I feel like bawling. Of course, he's gonna be fine and all.. I guess I just don't like separation ("ee-byul" in korean), in any shape or form. I'm too shy to say this to my dad, but I LOVE MY DADDY

The second major change is that we're moving out of our cute little 3-floor house, into a 4 room apartment. Now that Dad doesn't work here anymore, the government doesn't pay for our rent, so we're out of the house. I don't mind the apartment, in fact it's in the so-called korea town, so I can do alot more stuff there, but I just hate the process of moving. Packing, transporting, unapacking, cleaning, adjusting. ugh.

One small change is that I grew out my nails for the first time in my life... I've been one of those nasty nail-biters, especially when I'm nervous or stressed. I guess all my life I've always been pushed to certain stressful situations.. up until now that is. Now my nails actually look pretty when I paint them.

Another trivial change is that I've gone on to watch another Korean drama, Hwangjini from Joomong. Hwangini is about a Korean geisha who excelled in the arts and dance, and also seduced many many men.... haha. It's very addicting.. I miss desperate housewives tho.. wish I could watch that too..

Wow, I can't believe it's almost the end of February, already.. two months have flown by.. just like that.. I don't know if I want the time to go faster or slower.

My dad bought me a new laptop!

After four years of carrying my ginormous, heavy toshiba laptop that does not even have wireless across the pacific ocean (to and fro china, korea and cville), I've been blessed with a smaller, LIGHTER laptop with wireless and other complicated high-tech functions I have yet to learn about....

Definitely a day to celebrate.

yeah i am finally old enough to drink legally.

of course that is not the most important thing, but it felt gooooood to order that glass of wine, chardonay or whatever it was.

because my days have been soo hectic lately (within the course of one week, i had flown back to the US, moved out of an apt, cleaned my old apartment, moved into new apt, gone to florida, attended numerous meetings for aKDPhi and PAFN, spent time wit loved ones, and school started (not to mention all the shopping that came with it)), i really had no time to anticipate that my 21st birthday was approaching. i was able to understand just how powerful the facebook is, coz all my friends through out my entire life congratulated me.. back in the days when I went to NIST (in BKK, thailand), highschool in kOrea, college, and out of state sisters.

everyone thanks for wishing me a happy birthday. it was unexpectedly really great.

I really wish I could say or do more to show how i much i appreciate it, but i can't. because i'm just not really good at that. but i will try my best to be a humble and geniune friend to you. WILL TRY. =T

To my big and little: i saw your xanga entries. i have the bestest family. <3 and duh of course, my GL. hehe <3

school is going to kill me IF i take the classes i signed up for.

Is taking really hard classes a courageous thing or a stupid thing to do?

Will I be motivated to get a good grade even more and actually LEARN something

will I simply lose interest and fail miserably?

I need a nap to think about that.

ONE month left in Beijing.. and my life FINALLY seems to look up.

First off, I've been earning good money, unlike my internship, where I get paid 6 bucks a day.. which is a joke... hah

I've been hired at a hakwon/academy to teach SAT as a crash course for 4 weeks. There are 11 students in my class (the most I had in my short career as a SAT instructor), and the funny thing is that my BROTHER is one of them!!! (due to the lack of SAT classes in Beijing)

heejoe and I've been 'acting' as if we don't know each other.. and after 5 classes, no one has found out...... only my boss knows. I guess our fear that our resemblance will give it away was unfounded... we shall see.

As for my work, all I have to do is give them hell.. make them memorize vocab like crazy.. give them a lot of homework.. kinda like my teacher Kenny back in highschool..

The boys are so goofy tho..

one guy actually did this on the vocab test -

the word was "avert", and he was supposed to write the definition of that word..
but he added 'on' next to the word and defined it as "Averton. an English soccer team".

but yea, that's not the most exciting part...

next week, Jungin unni is visiting!!! >_< I will finally have someone to go shop, eat and get foot massage/body massages with!

Then, my grandparents are visiting from Korea.. I haven't seen them for a year now, and I miss them and hope they'll be comfortable at our house..

Almost as soon as my grandparents leave, my cousins, uncle and aunt from my mom's side are visitng.. I cant wait to see Yoojin, the closest cousin I have agewise and probably relationshipwise.

And after alllll that, I will be flying back to the states... not something I'm looking forward to too much, since it's gonna take over 20 hours , but defitnitely can't wait to see everyone again =)

SUMMER TIME!

Mucho things to do over the summer: yellow = completed. green = in process

-Get an American driver's license (AHH scared to take the driving test)
-buncha kdphi stuff... convention, newsletter, BTSR, fundraising, etc etc.
-Go to Kings Dominion and Six Flags and many times as I can
-Go to LA for convention + solitary roadtrip (5/24-6/1) - I have no idea how I'll get by w/o a car or housing, but i'm sure i'll survive somehow.
-Go to L2K6 (aka summer camp for college kids), where I'll be living in a sorority house for five days with random students (6/4-6/9)
-Pack like crazy yet neatly (i.e. folded clothes.. which is sooo hard to do for ALL my clothes) so that I will be ready to move into my new apt (just across the parking lot) when I get back.
-Go to Beijing, China, interning in the midst of non-english speaking Chinese ppl, teaching highschool kids at a hakwon.. (6/12-8/16)
-find a sublet for the summer
-move into my new apt. 8/17
-Get a car for my fourth year (my dream car... Nissan Altima with the big butt )
-Get car insurance... or whatever that follows with getting a car
-Get a puppy that will be my bundle of joy and cuddly poops (@!#$%, if only they didn't cost several hundred dollars!)
-working out until I feel healthy (and limber) again
-get a dark dark tan so i'll look thinner and not like a flabby goop of fat
-study econ 302 which I took this spring, but failed to comprehend anything about.
-read books
-watch the Da Vinci Code!!!! and the Break Up!
-Go to NYC in the spare time
-sign up for comm law class on aug. 1st
-PAFN Training day (aug. 18)
-BTSR (aug. 18-20)
-UVaKDPhi BTSR
-Incoming students Move-in day

-finally in Bejing... holla if ur in the area!

what are you supposed to think.. when you miss someone who's done nothing good for you... mayb even hurt you? what if, however fleeting it was, your heart remembers tender things that was crushed earlier by the bad memories, but now, it's budding out again? and what if, the things you miss are the stupidest things, goofy smiles, voices, side jokes, accents even, that you can't even admit that it's missed??

everything becomes beautiful... after it's gone.
