  • I want to ramble...

I have a lot on my mind. I have two papers, one presentation, one assignment, one exam and one thesis. Apart from the exam and the thesis, all of it is in the next one week.

    I am panicking...just a bit...it comes and goes.

I want a vacation after I finish my thesis, but the flight costs so much that it's coming to be unthinkable. My aunt lives in Accra, Ghana. The ticket is Rs. 74,000 (in US dollars, the exchange rate is Rs. 70 = $ 1). I don't have that much cash, especially since I'd need more to spend there. I might still try and manage it though...I'm just appalled at the prices.

I need to take my GRE and TOEFL. I need to apply to universities and scholarships. I need to find out how much work will pay next year. I need to get a driving license, meaning I first have to get back into the habit of driving. I haven't driven for...well...3 years I think? And I don't have the time...But I want to drive so much...I want to be able to go where I want to, when I want to. I want to go to the zillion places I'm not able to manage at the moment.

I'm one of those people who need energy to socialise, to dress up...Monday is the farewell, the culmination of 4 years. Mucho socialising. I know I'll enjoy it, but getting ready will be such a hassle...

Then there's the batch party that I don't want to go to.

    Agh.

    TO BE CONTINUED...

  • What fashion fad do you wish would come back?

    [WARNING - RANDOMNESS]

I'm usually not a big fashion person. I wear what I want to with very very delayed respect for fads. Especially, in Pakistan, fashion fads reach us a little late. Also, fashion in this country is focused more on the traditional dress - shalwar kameez.
When it comes to jeans, etc., a very small part of the society follows those fads.

The point of this rambling - If I liked/like something, I wear it. I couldn't care less about the fad. That's just me. So, a fad doesn't have to come back for = )

I love my hair, which means no straightening or blow drying, lots of curls. I love boots, so they shouldn't go out of style ever...I only own a pair of ankle boots though. Not much chance to show them off either since I don't wear anything shorter than ankle length...I want more boots......

Farewell dinner coming up...have to wear a sari...meaning I have to get my hair fixed...energy needed...

I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!

There's this rather cool application on Facebook called 'Pieces of Flair'. It lets you send these buttons to your friends or to yourself and put them on a board displayed on you page. This is my current display.
