man it's been a long time

so we're all settled in OR. and gettin' ready for xmas! yay i love winter

there are many reasons i have not recently updated blog...the main one being that i have been signing up for freebies and contests galore...of late i have realized a dream of mine, and that is to acquire as much free stuff as i can with as little work as possible.  lol, this may seem funny, or even absurd to you but i tell you to me it's completely worth it..i spend as many as 30 hours per week online...which may seem somewhat excessive (not to me however), but when those little presents come in the mail especially when i'm dead broke i cant help but almost break out in song and smile to myself and take my kids out shopping.  this week alone i've gotten (in the mail) : a free shick quattro razor, a free lunch from boston market, a free granola bar, a $5.00 check, a $20 gift card to old navy, a $50 gift card to best buy, a $5 amazon gift card, free lip gloss from victoria's secret, and a psp demo.  now of course not every week is this good...but there is not a month that goes by that don't receive something cool...last week i received a free senseo coffee pot.  i have yet to even open it ( i'm thinking i may make a gift of it to someone on christmas)...usually i get free stuff around the time i need a gift for someone in july i received so many free make up and beauty products i made a gift basket for my cousin's 17th birthday ..lol of course you don't mention that you never paid for any of it...i've learned people become a little resentful...lol...

next year i will be changing my home state from California to Oregon.  recently my brother moved up there and he can hardly stop talking about how much he loves it.  i've been there to visit but not since i was a child but i still remember how much i enjoyed it, and my husband was there as a teenager in the job core, so we have discussed moving there sometime in the future.  we finally decided our future is drifiting farther and farther away from us...i'm nearly 30 and my husband is 35...if we wait to long we may lose our nerve, or the ability (lol) i can hardly wait, and in fact we were planning on doing a spontaneous thing and moving at the end of the month but we were talked out of it by my sister in-law.  she lives with us and was very put out that we would leave her in such a bind...i guess it wasn't very nice-but honestly the thought of moving away (and away from her) was too strong a temptation to resist.

  WOW, I can hardly believe it's been almost a year since I last posted.  Well, I did my classes last year but decided not to start a day care (it seems like more hassle than it's worth) at least to myself.  Anyway, after taking those early child hood education classes; which dealt w/ everything from daycare expenses and what you can write off on ur taxes, to how to deal w/ temper tantrums in different children, I decided I liked going to school, and dealing w/ the children, but in a more authorative capacity.  So, I'm going to college to become a teacher.  Now, let us hope, boys and girls, that I still enjoy working w/ children when I'm actually ready to teach. LOL.  But seriously, I think I will love it! I love telling kids what to do.   And I love making them cry. J/K  But I do enjoy working w/ them to teach them something.  Since I decided daycare just wasn't for me (which didn't take long) I had to do some hard thinking about what I really wanted to do when I grow up (oh wait that already happened), but it's been on my mind more in the last year, since my neice started kindergarten this year.  That means my paycheck gets cut in half (until she gets on vacation), but it made realize not only am I going to need a steady income, preferably something that pays more than flipping burgers, but I wanted it to be something that I would enjoy doing. 

  TO all my cousins out there, and you know who u are, I miss you all and hope to hear from you again soon. 

 ok so i saw the forgotten last night...all in all i'd rate it as "ok" they should have made the whole movie like the last ten minutes...that was the best part of the movie..i was expecting scary and was grossly disappointed....sigh, i guess since i've seen so many movies it was bound 2 happen sooner or later...lol

so im going 2 be taking three college classes.  i need 2 get 12 early childhood  education credits to become liscensed for daycare.  i start classes next month around the 20th...i am actually looking forward to it...im going 2 be positive and look at it as a way of not only getting the credits i need 2 continue getting paid for what im already doing, but also as an oppurtunity 2 start a daycare in the next 3 years, also it will be nice 2 make some new friends.  i never thought i'd be lookin forward 2 going back 2 school, not that i hated school when i was there ( 9 years ago) wow it's actually been that long...geez im gettin old lol and u can quote me...just not 2 ne one i actually know.
