I'll be here fading away with the crowd that used to say"This Is My Mayday" and I haven't seen you today, singing the same song.

Hey everyone, been awhile since I've done one of these, right?

Musically speaking, the past few weeks for me have been absolutely fantastic. I feel so blessed I'm able to continually partake in something I love, and the thought that somebody out there actually likes what I play makes me more happy than I think I could really ever describe. Having local radio stations play our songs, having people tell me "Hey, your song helped me through a lot" ...it means so damn much to me. My music is me pouring out myself to whoever is willing to listen and watch, and people liking that is so worth the effort, regardless of how many frustrated hours I spend writing or how much money I lose.

Last night actually marks my backup vocal debut with Kemo For Emo. I mean, if you've been to a K4E show in the past, normally I either only talk on a mic, or even sometimes just flat go without a mic. I have no problem talking to a crowd onstage, however I've never had the nicest voice while singing. That and I've never had the confidence. But last night I actually, truly sang. I only sang backup for a few songs, but singing I've found can be a lot of fun. Don't expect me to do any lead vocals for k4e anytime soon, but definitely look out for harmonies I may do in the future. My voice is very limited, but since I now know the boundaries of my vocal range better, I operate with what I can.

I think the confidence point changed back when my other band, Something Really Dirty, played live the other week. I'm SRD's frontman, so I had to learn to like singing in front of people whether I wanted to or not. That ended up being a REALLY fun show, and SRD will be playing live again soon as well. Be on the lookout for us as well in the future, though we'll never be serious like K4E is (and for good reason).

K4E's show back on Saturday with Placid Blue was such a great show, there were a ton of people and everyone really seemed to have enjoyed it, some people afterwards were asking for more! I feel very proud of what we accomplished last night, and continually look forward to what lies next, and I hope you all come along for the ride.

Have a great week, everyone.

Holy 1997, Batman! Anybody remember this album? I used to like it a LOT.

...and I still do.

I wish there were still legitimate pop bands making songs like these.
