AddendumMy dad half chopped off his finger using an axe instead of hedge clippers, so I had to drive him to the doctor. Bleeding was quite dramatic since he is taking Plavix and Aspirin. (He is okay--ten stitches.)
To those of you on the edge of your seats, Movie_Bubba is taking his driving test on Wednesday, as has only been 28 days (four weeks is not 30 days, Movie_Bubba). He now knows how to parallel park, since I taught him. I still do not know how, however.
The dog tried to run away earlier this summer, but only got about a block away before collapsing from heat. He has lush black fur and downesque covering his entire body. Well, not any more. We felt sorry for him and shaved him with the 1 mm razor attachment. He now does not get heat stroke inside the house, at least. New saying: if you live on Mars, don't run away from home.
Watched
Robinson Crusoe on Mars tonight. It is not politically correct. (Surprise!) The person of ethnicity in it, though, turns out to be an Orionian. It has a monkey in a spacesuit in it. This is a serious movie.
I've started lifting weights. Is not as bad as I thought it would be, but it is very hard. Am considering reviving my dream of hiking the Appalachian trail, or perhaps being a ninja assassin. (Equally likely?)
I saw
Batman today with Movie_Bubba. This was to be his driver's license celebration movie, but oh well. Was far, far too gritty for my taste. Do not consider absolutely insane villians to be interesting. (Apparently everyone else does, or Dean Koontz and Stephen King would not be so popular.) Did anyone else think that the future Riddler was in this movie?
Also have been watching sixth season of
Monk. Am surprised that show is still clever so far into its run, but am tired of Monk's one character note: I MISS TRUDY! When he gets closure, though, the show will be over.
New report from doctor is bad. New medicine not working. Have turned completely yellow due to inability to rid self of cholesterol and tryglis...other thing. Look tan in a poor light, though! (Wanted: new genes; apply in person. BYO nanobots, please.)
Am having doubts about PhD readiness.
