I'm trying to stay up 'til midnight so I can enjoy my last few hours as a teenager.  I've been alive for two decades. God has been good and unchanging. And I hope I continue changing more into His likeness.

Some overdue pictures of my trip. I have more pictures on my facebook, but I found this nifty little slideshow thing on Mandy's xanga so I thought I'd give it a try. Hope everyone is doing well and I haven't forgotten about you all!

We played nursing jepordy. It was pretty fun. "Stool for 500, please" and "What is a Harris Flush enema." yep, good times.

NYC 2 days. It's going to be amazing. I'm just trying to figure out how I'm going to make room for all my clothes and shoes.

I've been stressed. I've thought about dropping out of school. But I really want to graduate, so I'm just going to push myself through this. (It's only going to be by God's grace if I get through these next three years.)

So, I'm trying to find humor in things. And two funny things did happen today. In clinical, I was trying to take this lady's blood pressure and she pinched me! she asked if if hurt and I said yes because she pinched really hard and she said "good. I just wanted to hurt you." (?!) Then I was trying to help her take her jacket off and she told me to back off; two seconds later she asked why I wasn't helping her. When I finally got away, she told me I had better watch out (really want to ask what she wanted me to watch out for). Actually that wasn't super funny because she kind of hurt my feelings. But it's funny now that I look back. We always like to compare nursing stories and see who can top the last one.  I'm pretty proud of this one (I even have a bruise to show for it!)

The other funny thing: my mother bought me a smiley face cookie (we've both been having a rough couple days). She said it would make me happy. I asked if she had bought herself one. She was like "yep, 12."

On a serious note, I was walking through the nursing home last week and I was thinking that I never want to get to the point that many of the residents there are (don't know who or where they are).  Then I thought, they probably thought the same thing when they were visiting their grandparents. It's easy to forget that older people are people too.
