| On-callI had the best 12-hour medical on-call yesterday. Saw a DKA which I'm preparing to present on Tuesday for Student Grand Round, an acute exacerbation of COPD, hypocalcemia, hypoglycemia, hepatic encephalopathy, infective eczema, leg cellulitis, a PE (multiple recurrent) and also a query splenic infarction. Learnt so much more in that 12 hours, than I would have reading on my own.. Wished I'd gone to more on-calls previously. Woke up with a sore neck and back though.. Haha.. Went to Wimbledon market to buy weekly groceries, bought a bagful of fresh vegetables and kiwis for a mere 2.40pounds! Would defo recommend everyone to go there to get their groceries. Exactly 2 more weeks to my OSCE and written finals exams in Med School. Will I pass? One question that med students always have ringing in their head is that why the more exams we encounter, the more lost we feel? Isn't that after more practice, we should develop a better studying method for ourselves? Yet, every time exams, and I mean a major one, approach, we just get sooo lost! Home and Redang Island (ie. scuba diving and beautiful corals) and the summer movies in the cinema are drawing me to them! Just can't wait for the exams to be over, paradoxically, coz I seriously need more time to read through all the topics for this exams.. Anyway, as always, I shall try my best and leave the rest to God! |
