| Happy Fourth!
I don't know who still uses xanga, but to those of you who do: I took a year off xanga, but I'm back! A lot has changed (I'm married!), but a lot is still the same (I'm a nerd!). I'll be updating pretty regularly again. I hope you are all well.\ On a side note, I'm not too excited about xanga's new look. |

| I had nothing to do with this picture Sorry I've been gone. I've been pretty busy. Great news, though!
This is my neice, Peyton. She was born a little over a month ago, on a Friday morning, May 18th. She's pretty great. She's doing well, as is my sister. Thank you for all your prayers. Praise God! And, just to reiterate, I had nothing to do with this picture; I wasn't even there at the time. |

| Magical Mystic MonkeyI've been having a lot of weird dreams these past few days. In one of them, Bethany and I owned a Magical Mystic Monkey. Now, I didn't dream any exposition, so I can't offer any explanation to what I am about to describe. All I know is that we had this small monkey figure that, when we concentrated on it, would become a real live, normal-sized monkey. The best part (yes, it gets better)? The monkey was a fashion model. I distinctly recall the monkey cheek to cheek with a female model, both displaying Magnum lips of Zoolander fame. I also dreamt that someone from Texas won that writing contest I entered. And that I was able to transport myself into a different world/alternate dimension simply through will and concentration, but was unable to get back to the real world. This last dream was actually a bit of a nightmare, as the fear of losing my family and friends was very, very real; I awoke from my nap unsure of where I was, still trying to figure out how to get back to the real world. When I saw Bethany, I was more relieved than usual, though it took me awhile to shake the lonliness. There was a light-hearted moment in retrospect - in that last dream, I ran into someone in the alternate world and he asked me if I needed something. My first (and only) question was: "who won the Utah game?" |

| Take care of yourselfI think the next time someone says that to me, I'm going to punch myself in the face and yell: "you're not the boss of me!" I can imagine Steve and Erick picking up their phones and calling me as soon as they read this. |
