change, it can be scary...exciting...or both.  but when a change takes place there is always the element of the unknown.  for quite a while now i've felt  a change needed to take place in chi alpha and how we "did" ministry.  we simply we're not getting the job done, we had become stagnant, comfortable and and at least in my eyes increasingly ineffective.

with that being said, change is on the way, and along with it the element of the unknown.  i don't know what this change will bring, but i do believe it is the direction God would have us to go.  i asked you to pray about the spring semester over the break, i hope you have and are returning having heard from God.  you the student are the key to this change.  are you ready?

Some of us were talking at the very end of last semester about the change--we were VERY excited.  Over the break I would say that my excitment has only grown.  I think I'm ready.  woo hoo...school is about start back!!! haha

I can't wait to hear what it is... really!  Its funny that this is happening because everyone I've talked to all semester long feels like they (and together "we") are on the verge of something great.  None of us can wait to see what God has to say, and none of us doubt that he will use this to do it... so bottom line... Hurry up!

Good luck with the change in Chi Alpha there. Change can be tough, but it also can be so exciting especially if it is God's Will.

Well..my idea is to do something once a month with girls from Chi Alpha. We could have a sleep over at someone's house (volunteered, of course) once a month and then each girl could invite someone to come. It would be a way for the girls to become closer (which I think is very important) and for the girls to have a specific way to get new people involved.( I think I may even be trying to break the age-old idea that XA is the place to get married.)

it is a good thing, heck, a GREAT thing, that the house is getting to move.  BUT...that doesn't mean I'm gonna miss it any less.  I didn't see you out there when it moved...but I've been watching it ALL DAY from my window.  hehe.  Is the building finished yet??? hahaha.

Deep thought? Of course not, just zoning out since there was no one else to talk to... I think.

Man, you know you'll get an invite.  In fact, Crystal and I are thinking about having you stand in the aisle as the guests come in...flexing your ummm..."guns".

Absolutely you're invited.  I'm thinking of doing an open invitation to everyone at Chi Alpha and the Chair.  Anyway, I'll keep you posted.

oh, okay, good.    well, i graduated in may and have spent the summer in okc, pretty much being useless.  since then, i've been working with north american mission board in new orleans and houston.  first, i was in new orleans, but then the hurricane came and then i got transferred to houston for the remainder of last semester.  i decided i wanted to come back here in january, so here i am.  we are housing disaster relief teams that come in, but i love it.  i really do.  it was so stressful being here at first, but i think i've adjusted, and i love the city and the people i work with.  it's so great.    how are you?
