We cannot fear that which we love.

If you are afraid of something or someone, turn your attention to what you love rather than holding on to the thought of fear. The following meditations can help you in the stillness of prayer:

I let love cast out fear of disease or ill health.
I love the life idea. I fall in love with life. I think life and talk life. I see myself filled with life, the very life of God.
I love, praise, and give thanks for the life of God that is my life—the life of God which heals, restores, and renews me.
With thoughts and feelings of love—love of life, love of the healing idea—I release my thoughts of ill health, disease, and fear. I am in love with life, and I express the life of God, radiantly, wonderfully, powerfully.

I let love cast out fear of being alone.
I love my life. I love the place that I call home. I love knowing that I am never alone, that God is always with me. I give love, and I feel surrounded and enfolded by the love of God.
I may be alone but I am never lonely. I think lovingly of my dear ones near and far. I pray with love for the people I feel close to and for the world. I feel a part of the great and wonderful family of God. Love makes me one with God and one with all God’s children.

I let love cast out fear of lack.
Love replaces poverty thoughts. I love the realization that I am a rich child of a rich God. I love the work that is mine to do. I love and praise God as my dependable, unfailing resource. I love the flow of supply that is without limitation. I love, use, and express the talents and abilities with which I have been endowed. I love the feeling of success and satisfaction that I have because my trust is in God. I love the thought that my daily needs are met and that my future needs will be met as well. I express love and release thoughts of lack. I express love—God’s prospering love—as I let myself share willingly and freely with others.

I let love cast out fear of failure.
I love the opportunities that are mine. I love the challenges that stir me to deeper thought and greater effort. I love the spirit of faith and courage that refuses to let fear dominate me. I love the feeling of spiritual power—the power of the Christ within me—that is mine when I act courageously and dare to step out in faith.

I love the feeling of reassurance which comes when I listen to the “still small voice” within telling me that I can succeed.

Irene Sherri Sunflowers

I let love cast out fear of people.
I express love toward all, and I attract love from all.
Love—divine love—is never mistrusted, never mistrusts. Love—divine love—never mistreats and is never mistreated. Love is always harmonious. Love breaks down barriers of timidity or lack of understanding. Love is not overpowered by personality. Love meets in agreement with the best in others and reveals it.

I meet life and people in a loving spirit, and life and people respond to me with warmth, friendliness, and love.

I let love cast out fear of change.
I think about change, and I hold this positive thought: I love the thought of change! Love assures me that through every change God is with me. In every changing condition or circumstance, love reveals something new and rewarding. I meet change with love, and I am blessed, enriched, and made happier.

I let love cast out fear of fear.
Love casts out unreasonable fear. Love casts out fear of fear itself! I remember that God loves me. What is there to fear? God is love, and God loves me.
“Neither death, nor life … nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God” (Rom. 8:38-39).
Fearlessly I meet life and love God, knowing that God loves me and that nothing and no one can separate me from the love of God.
“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.”

http://www.unityonline.org/prayer/articles/loveCastsOutFear.html

Trust the impulses of creativity stirring within you. The Law of Attraction is responding to your vibration, and you can easily change your vibrational point of attraction by visualizing the lifestyle you desire and holding your attention upon those images until you begin to feel relief, which will indicate that a true vibrational shift has occurred.

http://www.abraham-hicks.com

My Day: My day has been really slow. I am still not feeling as good as I would like to but definitely on the mend. In a couple of days I should be back to my usual self with abundant health and energy. I am just allowing myself to rest and doing what I can until I am there. I am an unusally high energy person and I am blessed with abundant health. This is nothing serious just allergies again. I think we will get some rain and then all this will clear up. I watered all day today. I worked some fertilizing the flowers. They need more feeding in this hot weather. I cleaned my bathroom spotless that feels good. I did get the dishes done. So the next few days will be spent attending to my home.

I spent time in prayer and meditation of how to help Mrs. H. He, like Milton the poet and Prescott the historian,
had a good alibi: he was blind, as were they. Demosthenes, greatest
of all great orators, had a wonderful alibi: his lungs were weak,
his voice hoarse and unmusical, and he stuttered. Julius Caesar,
statesman and general, was an epileptic. Beethoven was stone
deaf at middle age. They all had good alibis--but they never
used them!" -unknown
is has no bearing on what is coming unless you are continually regurgitating the story of what is. By thinking and speaking more of how you really want your life to be, you allow what you are currently living to be the jumping-off place for so much more. But if you speak predominantly of what-is, then you still jump off—but you jump off into more of the same.

http://www.abraham-hicks.com

True freedom lies in discovering that your most intimate identity -- the
Witnessing Awareness
we recognize as "I am" -- is inseparable from the Source out of which it
emerges.

These quotes are from the ebook, Manual For Self Mastery by Joe Anthony, Click
here to learn more:-

http:-www.thedailyguru.com/selfmastery.htm

My Day: My life has been quite chaotic lately. I know it is due to decisions I have made or not made. When one does not take charge of their lives then that is a decision too. When I do not make decisions then I can blame outside circumstances for the way my life is going. I had two nice days with Mr. E. and one night with Mrs. H. that was not as pleasant as I would like it but nothing too bad either. For some reason I am quite detached from Mrs. H. After being there now a couple of weeks I see that a lot of her illness has to do with choices she makes too. She came home from the hospital on new meds and symptom free. She was sleeping and without pain. She immediately stopped taking the meds that the doctors prescribed and started taking some old ones that are no longer prescribed. All her symptoms returned. I talked to her some about this last night but she is in complete denial. I think the payoff she gets for being sick is higher than the payoff for being well. I am not at all sure I want to stay on this job. I will see she was to go back to her doctor today, the one that did her back surgery. He will determine how long she will need care for that problem. If it is not too long I may stay. If it becomes long term I will definitely get another job. I will hear what happened tomorrow. I work the weekend over there.

I used to think I had to take care of the mentally ill. I felt they had no choices in life. I no longer feel it is my job in life to take care of those who are mentally ill. I feel they definitely are making choices just like you and I are. Perhaps the choices they are making are not as good as someone who does not have mental problems but then again it is not my job to change that. I can choose just not to care for those types of patients. I have put in my time on locked wards almost twenty years and I no longer choose that for my life. I saw a sign at the hospital yesterday. It said, "Mental illness is not a crisis or a shame it is a illness." Now I believe that but it is not a dis-ease I am comfortable treating anymore. I have lost my compassion in that area so should not work there any longer. They deserve care from someone who has compassion and patience for them. I am really good with hospice patients, and Alzheimers and Dementia patients so I need to spend my time caring for those folks. But then I ask myself why did God send me here. What am I suppose to be learning. Maybe it just is to redecide I don't want to care for that type of patient.

I am concentrating on telling my story the way I want it to be. As children of a loving God, we all have an equal right to the good things of life, including work that we enjoy doing and supply for every need.
Earning a living—no matter what the job is—can be drudgery for those who think of work only as the means through which they can acquire the necessities of life. Those who see no reason to direct their energies toward a specific endeavor often find life boring. But there are those who find joy in whatever is theirs to do. No task is too great or too insignificant for them. They approach their work with great enthusiasm and the anticipation of accomplishing something worthwhile.

Every person comes into the world with the potential for happy, successful, prosperous living and the talents and abilities that make productive living possible. If we are to realize our full potential, we need to use our talents and abilities. The Bible story concerning the man who gave some talents to his three servants demonstrates this idea. The servant who saved his talent—buried it—gained nothing and lost the original talent, for it was taken from him. However, the two servants who used their talents enjoyed the benefit of the resulting increase.

It is in keeping with the law of life that we give something for what we receive. When we give ourselves to our work, we are blessed and enriched immeasurably.

When you need employment, pray for wisdom to find the work in which you can give of yourself in a constructive way. If you are employed but want to make a change, pray for guidance to the work that will challenge and satisfy you. Challenge may be your impetus to try a little harder, to put forth the extra effort to satisfy your need to be creative and productive.

Prayer opens the way for you to find right employment and reveals to you how you can use your talents and abilities. Prayer heightens your desire to fulfill the requirements of your work and gives you faith to know that full compensation will be yours.

Contributing something to the world brings great joy and satisfaction. People who give of themselves and seek always to do their best do not need to be concerned about the return. Giving sets into motion the law of return, and nothing can keep this law from running its full cycle.

As you pray for the right place of employment for yourself or another, think of God’s law of giving. Remember the promise: “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back” (Lk. 6:38).

http://www.unityonline.org/prayer/articles/findingRightEmployment.html

My Day: So far I have done my checking account, and the dishes. I have to get groceries. I am still feeling a bit rocky but it is getting better so back to work with Mr. E. tomorrow. I love all my work but sometimes I end up just too tired as I have taken on once again too much. I am praying that God will give me the wisdom to choose balance. I do give to my work as much as I can each time I go to work. I am grateful for all the work that I have. I feel great joy and satisfaction in contributing something of worth to society. God provides me with total abundance, and I fulfill the purpose for which I am created.

I AM AT PEACE.
(Pause, breathe, take into your heart.)

I go forth in joy, trust and enthusiasm. With speed, ease, comfort and joy, all is now fulfilled.

LET’S CELEBRATE LIFE!

The above exercises can also be completed with a partner or group. Simply read the statements aloud together, and take turns on number six to share your intentions. After each person has spoken, the group together states: “I accept,” and continues to read aloud the remaining statements. This process – affirming God, releasing the negative, stating one’s intentions, expressing gratitude and celebrating life – prepares the way for ever greater good to come forth in your life.

http://www.unityonline.org/prayer/articles/aPowerfulWayToStartTheDay.html

My Day: I have been watering. It is a beautiful day here only 59 degrees this morning now it is 76 degrees. It is Spring like here except so very dry. My garden is not doing too well this year too many changes in tempature. I had some more housework to do. I slept late so my day is getting away from me. I have to work tonight. The lady is coming home from the hospital. I got a talking book in the mail so even if I have to sit in her room and listen at least I won't fall asleep in the dark. I am tired today not much energy to do anything. I sure don't like that. I want to go and play. I attribute it to changing shifts all the time. I ask for all of your prayers for a long term work for me. I do so much better when I am working five nights at the same place. My easel got knocked over by the cats so Monday have to go out and get a screw to fix it I am going to take it and my new canvas out to Mr. E's and sit on the deck and paint.

What I am grateful for today: The beautiful weather. Financial success, or any other kind of success, does not require hard work. It does require alignment of thought. You simply cannot offer negative thought about things that you desire and then make up for it with action or hard work. When you learn to direct your own thoughts, you will discover the true leverage of Energy alignment.

http://www.abraham-hicks.com

Pay attention, and trust Reality. I mowed in the early morning and watered. Did some weeding. I had a long night. The lady I cared for was in a lot of pain all night so I was up all night. Her husband is a bit of a hoverer so he jumped out of bed almost every time she screamed. I feel really sad for her being in that kind of pain. The pain medication does not seem to help much. They did not tell me she had anything but back surgery. But I knew that there must be something else very wrong. Her husband finally told me she may have undiagnosed Huntington's disease. She does not want to have it diagnosed yet.

Huntington Disease displays as:

Uncontrolled movement, or tics, may develop in the fingers, feet, face, or trunk. This is the beginning stage of chorea—involuntary, rapid, ceaseless movement. Chorea can become more intense when the person is anxious or disturbed. Over time other symptoms, such as the following, emerge:

Clumsiness

Jaw clenching (bruxism)

Loss of coordination and balance

Slurred speech

Swallowing and/or eating difficulty

Uncontrolled continual muscular contractions (dystonia)

Walking difficulty, stumbling, falling
Delusions

Hallucinations

Inappropriate behavior (e.g., unprovoked aggression)

Paranoia

The lady lies in bed and just literally turns in circles stretching her legs, arching her back, and she cries "help me, help me!" I don't know how long this case will last. Though she will heal from her back surgery, she plans a bowel surgery almost right away and then this Huntingtons disease. I do not even know if I can work with this kind of patient. God must think I can or he would not of sent me to her. Her husband is so stressed and she is just in a terrible condition. I just made her as comfortable as I could then sat with her. There is very little one can do for someone like this. I just sat and prayed for her last night. I was tired and drained today. I slept a lot. Tomorrow I go to Mr. E's yea it is quite out there. Who and what is God? Although we may not be able to fully understand God, we do have available to us a source for discerning something of the nature of God. The Bible tells us that we are made in the image and likeness of God and that “God is spirit” (Jn. 4:24). This means that we, too, are spirit; we are spiritual and Godlike. If we wish to find God, we only need to look within ourselves to discover God’s likeness.

When Jesus was asked, “Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?” (Mt. 22:36), His reply was: “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God .…’ This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself’ ” (Mt. 22:37-39).

But do we love ourselves? If we ask this question with honesty, casting aside all false modesty, our answer should be yes. That which we love about ourselves is really our inborn goodness, our Godlikeness. The knowledge of this simple fact can set us free.

Our good characteristics are an index of our Godlikeness and our real selves. When we express love, we are very much like God, for God is love. All our lovableness, all our loving kindness is God working through us. Do we consider ourselves as sincere, tolerant, peaceable, generous, noble, joyful, helpful? This is God being expressed through our humanity. These qualities are the gifts that Spirit gives us to use all the time.

We have always known that we need God, but we may not have realized that God needs us. Without this creation—what we call life, nature, men, women, children, all living things—we would not see God. All creation is God’s expressed identity.

When we begin to recognize God in this way, we become aware of the positive traits we demonstrate each day.

For example, when we meet a friend, what God qualities do we express?
“Good morning,” we might say, expressing friendliness and cheerfulness.
“Isn’t it a beautiful day?” Our attitude is positive and uplifting.
“You look overloaded with all those packages.” We are observant and understanding.
“Here, let me help you.” We are striving to be helpful, generous, and caring.
“I’m glad we saw each other.” We express joy, warmth, and gratitude.

In an exchange of only a few short minutes, we are able to express many good qualities. By practicing the awareness of God’s presence in this simple way, we find that each day is a bright and enlightening experience. Every day becomes an adventure in self-discovery and God-discovery.

Our adventure is heightened as we learn to look for the divine qualities in each individual we meet. Each is our “neighbor”—the person standing next to us in line, sitting next to us on the bus, waiting on us at the counter. Every human being is a child of God and has good qualities for us to discover and love.

People are like music, in a way. In our system of music, there are relatively few distinct tones, but these tones may be arranged and rearranged in a multitude of ways, and each arrangement sounds different. We may find many people around us who express themselves in the same way that we do, and it is easy for us to agree with these individuals and to like them. Other people have personality traits that seem strange to us because, like the notes of a musical composition, they have a tempo, accent, and dominance not like our own. But if we can recognize that we, too, possess these qualities—perhaps in a different degree—we can bless those who make us aware of them. By learning to utilize these attributes in a right manner, we become more Godlike in our expression. And as we become more sensitive to the words and actions of others, we learn to recognize and love each person’s own unique expression of God.

How wonderful it is to know that no matter where we walk, no matter whom we walk with, we are really walking with God!
http://www.unityonline.org/prayer/articles/aCloserWalk.html

Home-Made Herbal Sunscreen Lotion Recipe

Has anyone got the Weight Watchers core diet the new one? If you have would you send it to me.

© Ellen Lord

A good sunscreen helps the skin maintain its natural oils and moisture, and protects the skin against UVA and UVB rays.

Using sunscreen with a high SPF is important for everyone, especially if you are fair-skinned or have a family history of cancer. There is no such thing as a safe tan.

Storage and Proper Application of Sunscreen

Avocado oil, sesame oil and shea butter contain a low SPF sunscreen. However, they have limited VA/UVB-filtering ability and you should not use them as your only skin protection. For a natural sunscreen with a higher SPF, use a commercial sunscreen with titanium dioxide.

To keep homemade sunscreen from spoiling, use only clean utensils for preparation and storage. Store lotions in the refrigerator, where they will keep for about 3-4 weeks.

To achieve maximum protection, apply sunscreen to dry skin 30 minutes before exposure. Limit your sun time to under an hour.

Natural Protection Cream Recipe

3 tbsp. unrefined sesame oil
1 tbsp. unrefined avocado oil
1 tbsp. unrefined jojoba oil
1 tbsp. walnut or almond oil
1 tbsp. shea butter
2 tbsp. cocoa butter
1 tsp. beeswax
1 tsp. soy-lecithin liquid
2 tbsp. aloe vera gel
2 tbsp. rose or lavender water
1/2 tsp. borax powder
20 drops carrot-seed essential oil
3-5 drops coconut fragrance oil (optional)
Melt the first 4 oils, butters and beeswax in a double boiler over medium heat until just melted. Add the soy-lecithin, and stir to blend. Remove from heat.
In a small saucepan, gently warm the aloe vera gel and rose or lavender water, and stir in borax powder until dissolved. Remove from heat.
When the oil and water mixtures are still warm to the touch and about the same temperature, set the small saucepan into a bowl of ice. Drizzle in the oil mixture while mixing rapidly with a small whisk; a cream will quickly form.
Add carrot-seed essential oil and coconut fragrance oil, if desired; blend thoroughly.
NOTE: avoid using citrus oils, such as bergamont, orange, lemon or lime. They may cause unpleasant skin reactions when exposed to the sun. They also reduce a sunscreen's effectiveness.

For After-Sun Relief

To help cool and moisturize sunburned skin, apply a thin coat of yogurt or aloe vera gel to reddened areas.
Spray pure lavender water or hydrosol freely on sun-damaged skin to keep skin hydrated, prevent peeling and promote the regeneration of cells.
Add 2-3 drops of lavender oil to 1 tsp. of a carrier oil, such as sweet almond oil, and massage into affected area. Or apply diluted St. John's wort oil.
http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/herbal_lore/40696

I Don't Need to Have Money to Attract Money. . .

You do not have to have money to attract money, but you cannot feelpoor and attract money. The key is, you have to find ways of improving the way you feel from right where you stand before things can begin to change: By softening your attention to the things that are going wrong, and by beginning to tell stories that lean more in the direction of what you want instead of in the direction of what you have got, your vibration will shift; your point of attraction will shift—and you will get different results.

http://www.abraham-hicks.com

My Day: Things did not go very well last night. I have a monitor even one with visual screen. But the lady is in awful pain and jumps around in bed all night. I cannot tell even with the visual screen when she is getting up as it does not cover the whole room. I will talk to her tonight and ask her to call me when she is getting up. She gets up and stays in the bathroom for an hour at a time. I have to stand in the bathroom as she is taking pain pills and might fall. I am sure it will go better tonight as we will get to know each other better and I will learn to listen to her particular noises. New jobs are not my favorite thing and lately that is what the agency is offering me, short term, coming from the hospital things. I think I need to write out an intent. I intend to create a long term night job for myself. One that the person gets up during the night but calls me when they are going to get up. One that pays well and the person and I have a lot in common.

I spent a lot of time watering again. This alone will begin to change our world.

“Seize the moment of excited curiosity on any subject to solve your doubts; for if you let it pass, the desire may never return, and you may remain in ignorance.”
William Wirt

The truth of life is that all you have is today. Yesterday is only vapor and tomorrow will never come. Today is the timeline of your life and each moment contains the essence of your being. Allow this essence to shine brightly by allowing others to see its fullness for each moment is a gift that is given to you just for being who you are.

‘In the name of God, stop a moment, cease your work, look around you.”
Leo Tolstoy (1828 - 1910)

Stop all your activity and be thankful for each moment by recognizing its importance to your life. It is the seed of your future and as such gives power to what may seem like a lost second but in reality is a chrysalis waiting to be opened. It is energy waiting to be born and the gift you give to your future. Each moment is a capsule of love just eager to be seen amid the chaos of an ever noisy world.

“Man is free at the moment he wishes to be.”
Voltaire (1694 - 1778)

Free yourself from the boredom of every day life by opening the window to your tomorrows. At every moment we have a dozen different things to do, a dozen problems to solve, a dozen strains to endure. We see ourselves as overdriven, overburdened, overtired. This is a common mental picture and it is totally false. No one of us, however crowded his life, has such an existence. What is the true picture of your life? Imagine that there is an hour glass on your desk. Connecting the bowl at the top with the bowl at the bottom is a tube so thin that only one grain of sand can pass through it at a time. That is the true picture of your life, even on a super busy day, The crowded hours come to you always one moment at a time. That is the only way they can come. The day may bring many tasks, many problems, strains, but invariably they come in single file. You want to gain emotional poise? Remember the hourglass, the grains of sand dropping one by one.”
James Gordon Gilkey

My day: It is easier for me to live in the moment when I am outside working with my garden or yard. By next year I am going to have raised beds and gravel paths for my vegetable garden. I love the small space and growing in pots. Doing Lasanga gardening really appeals to me. Somehow when one aligns themselves with plants and growing one feels the natural rythmn of life. I have wind chimes hanging from every tree and I have a lot of trees. I do not feed the birds as Mr. E. does as I have four cats. But I plant things that nuture the birds. I have rasberries, strawberries, cherries, Oregon Grape, blue berries. The birds love this array of fruit as I do. I plant a lot of it in pots. I also love the sound of wind chimes and feel they make the music of the wind. I feel a part of life as I tend my garden and trees. I have been thinking a lot about having an acre of land by the time I retire that I can grow veggies. My daughter is breeding a miniture goat that gives as much milk as a full size one. Maybe I will get some goats and live off the land. Maybe not.

My daughters garage sale was a roaring success again this weekend. She starts working on her cart next week so I don't think there will be anymore garage sales but always can sell some stuff on Craigs list. She made over $600. with this garage sale. I have to start looking on Craigs list several times a day as I am looking for a kitchen island and two cupboards for my kitchen. I got rid of my kitchen table at the garage sale and the chairs now there is room for my new kitchen island and a couple of stools. I also have to be attentive to Craigs list for a bathtub, bathroom counters, I am going to buy the toliet new as I want a high pressure one. The remodeling has begun on the garage. I am fixing the roof first. Then all the other stuff can begin.

What I am grateful for today: I am grateful for two days off in a row.
