Wow, it's been a while since I've updated. I don't have lots of time to write at this moment but I promise a real update soon...and it's gonna be a long one! Life has been crazy since being back at school. This week is really busy with tests and homework and club stuff...as has been the case since school started. BUT rodeo on Thursday and plans for something fun this weekend so I will press on.

This could easily say...

In memory of Jessica Jonell White
                  April 7, 1983-July 20, 2006

But it doesn't. Allow me to explain...
Thursday Jen and I were traveling down from Va to come to my house. It had been raining really hard but had pretty much stopped. Well, it started up again outta nowhere and we slowed down and before we knew what happened, we hydro plane and start spinning across the interstate. We spun across our two lanes, the grass median (which was about two lanes wide), and into the lanes of oncoming traffic...about two spins in, Jen & I look at each other and then look ahead again. I put my hand on her arm and heard a voice say, "God, please protect us."...it was mine but I don't really remember talking. When we got into oncoming traffic Jen turned the steering wheel the other way and we spun back into the grass and came to a stop. We looked at each other and started praying. No one stopped to help us, a cop finally came and helped us pull back out to the road and then we went to a gas station where we hugged and called some people to tell them what had happened. We were shaking and so scared...
It all seemed to happen so slowly but I'm sure it was a matter of seconds. It was amazing that nothing happened though because there had been a steady stream of traffic all day and there was a wire guard rail in the middle of the medium the whole way, except where we spun off. If it had been there or we would've hit another car, I don't know that we'd be here today and I'm so happy that we are. There was so much traffic on both sides right after we came to a stop. It was weird having to just keep driving like nothing happened, it seemed like everyone should stop and celebrate that we were alive...but the world just kept on going.
As I watched the world slowly spinning around me, I was thinking, "this is it, I might die right now, what have I left behind" It's weird that I had time to think about anything. But the answer to what I've left behind is nothing, I haven't done anything great that could be talked about at my funeral, I haven't made any huge impact on mankind or even a few lives...so I guess the real question is, am I ok with that? And of course, the answer is no. I'm excited about the life I have in front of me and the opportunity to go out and at least play a roll in some peoples lives, even if it's not huge in the eyes of the world. I'm so happy to just be alive now.
I'm so thankful that God put us at the perfect spot on the highway where we wouldn't hit a guard rail or another car. And I'm so thankful He answered that little whispered prayer...
Pals, life could end at any moment. Is your life what it should be?

My Trip to Maryland

I had a lot of firsts these past few days...first time in Maryland, first time to eat crabs, first time in a wreck, first time at a guys poker night, and some others...and they all made for a great week!

I left AR last Thursday after class and got to the Griffin's house around 3am, went to bed and then headed out the next morning with Josh to Jacksonville, got there then we headed to MD with Britt and John. We got there around 9ish and then met up with a group of guys at an indoor soccer place around 12 and we stayed there til like 2am. It was fun watching them play, I really miss soccer being a part of my life. I got to see TJ that night, wonderful.
Saturday we went to some guys sisters graduation party. Played volleyball and hung out all afternoon. Kidnapped TJ from there and kept him for the next three days. I don't remember what we did that night...rented a movie I think. Stayed up super late.
Went to church Sunday and out to eat with John's family. Um, Sunday afternoon we went to John's aunts house for his b-day party. We swam in the river/bay...something. I don't know what we did that night...or if we did anything besides watch movies.
Monday we didn't do much all day. Ate crabs for lunch...they were good but so much work for such a little amount of meat...it was a good experience though, haha. We went to TJ's house for dinner. Great food and his family was super sweet. Then that night we went bowling and after bowling to Double T's for food. Guess we left there around 2 or 3.
Tuesday we went out to Scott's house and went out tubing in one of his boats. Fun day, as we were heading in, it started storming on us though. We met all of John's family at a Mexican restaurant for dinner. On the way it was still raining really hard and the three cars we were in (Scott's, TJ's, & Josh's) all got in a fender bender...random guy in front of Scott stopped outta nowhere, Scott slammed on his breaks, TJ slammed on his and the wheels locked up and we skidded into Scott, and the same thing happened in Josh's car so they hit TJ's car...we figure it was the road. Not too much damage was done.
After dinner we went to Phil's house (or brother's house I guess it was) and a bunch of guys got together and played poker...for hours. TJ, Britt, & I walked down to the beach and watched fireworks for a while. Eventually we went home and watched tv 'til late...well, TJ and I did.
We left Wednesday morning. Sad day...I'm ready to see TJ again.
Wednesday Josh and I stayed at John & Britt's. We had a slumber party in the living room, watched a movie and Britt and I made John's b-day dinner. Fun times.
It was so good being able to see Bizzers again and getting to bond more with Johnny and hang out with Joshy before he goes off to join the Navy...and of course it was wonderful being with TJ again. It was fun seeing those other crazy groomsmen too. To say the least it was an amazing few days...that went by way too fast!

I'm at my aunt and uncle's now...helping out with things around here and enjoying the farm for the rest of the summer. Hopefully I'll be over to Jacksonville again soon though...and hopefully TJ will be there too.

Hope everyone else had a wonderful 4th of July!

Britt & John's Wedding Weekend

Oh, where do I start...the weekend was amazing! The wedding was beautiful, the wedding party super hott, and the groomsmen were SO much fun! I got punched in the nose by the maid of honor and we had our car searched for drugs by the cops but let's start at the beginning...

Friday was the rehearsal and that went well. We met the groomsmen and cute little Jordyn-the flower girl. Then we headed over to the rehearsal dinner/pool party. The boys played in the water forever and that was pretty entertaining. The groomsmen finally caved and agreed to go midnight bowling with us girl instead of taking John to a strip club...silly boys. We paired up in teams with our groomsmen and I must say my team, Team Best, was amazing! TJ, Joe, Egle, & I are some mean bowlers! haha, anyway, we bowled 'til about 2 and then headed back home and the boys went to their hotel. Us girls were in bed by 3...doubt the boys were out that soon.

Saturday us girlies were up around 8:30 to take showers, fix hair, and put 200 wedding programs together...and good thing we got up that early cuz we were still fixing hair and putting on makeup at 2:45 when we were supposed to be at the church. We got to the church and hung out in the bridal room 'til 5:20...and I don't think the AC worked in that room cuz we were burning up! But John sent us a fan, well he sent Britt a fan...sweet, I know. The wedding was absolutely beautiful! No one tripped or passed out...the preacher did forget the grooms last name though when he was presenting them as husband and wife so that was pretty funny. We got some amazing pictures of all of us in out hotness and then headed to the reception.
The reception was lots of fun! There were two dance coaches/facilitators and we probably danced for three hours straight...which was fine with me cuz I had an awesome dance partner. It was a really fun wedding! It was great getting to hang out with my girlies again and Brittany was lovely! Throughout the reception the groomsmen were trying to talk us girls into going to the after-after party at their hotel...long story short I caved and told the girls we could go. Of course I wanted to but I knew my parents were expecting us home, oh well!

We went back to Britt's, changed out of our big dresses and got all of our stuff packed up and headed to the hotel around 11:30. Oh my goodness! Those boys were SO much fun. We played some games that I won't post the names of on here but they were lotsa fun and everyone was really funny. At one point I was reaching down on the floor to pick up my ping-pong ball and Egle swung her hand up and hit me REALLY hard in the nose and my eyes started watering so basically I was crying and I felt like my nose was broken but TJ said it wasn't cuz it wasn't bleeding...but it still hurt! At about 2 we decided it was time for us to go but we had to back track to Britt's cuz I told Josh I would drive him home so he could drink. After we got outside it took forever to leave cuz those boys wanted us to stay. Which I wouldn't have minded had I not been going home to my parents cuz I sure would've liked to hang out with Mr. Hottie somemore! Anyway, on the way to Josh's house, Jeff called and said one of us had left our purse so we had to go back to the hotel after dropping off Josh and Egle. And this is were it gets really exciting...
Us girls wouldn't get outa the car but all the boys were out there asking us to stay and not giving us the purse. Well, after about 20mins Jeff had gone off somewhere and then he comes running up, grabs the purse and hands it into the car and says, "the cops are coming, leave!" Well Ben was in the backseat sitting with Janna so we couldn't go anywhere, not that we would've cuz then the cops woulda come after us. WELL the cops come up and ask what he gave us and they end up making us get out of the car and then proceed to search the whole car and everything in it for drugs because it looked suspicious that Jeff ran from the cops and then handed something into the car...ok I understand that. I was worried though cuz all the guys were underage and you could just smell the alcohol...well I could. The cops had asked to see everyone's ID's but then didn't ask for them again so no one but Rach had to show it. Thank goodness! One of the cops asked me if the boys had tried to hand us beer into the car...no there was never any beer in the car...although now I think there might have been at one point, oops. After about 30mins the cops told me us girls could leave, I asked if the guys were in any kind of trouble and they said no and that we were free to go but I told them they could leave first so I would know the guys weren't going to get in any kind of trouble, they left. We got home at 4something. I thought the whole thing was very funny, Rachel was pissed off but she laughs about it now. It was an exciting way to end an awesome weekend. I wish we lived closer to those guys, they were lotsa fun...especially one in particular.

So that was the weekend. Some details were left out, either cuz I forgot or because I don't want you to know them, hehe.
So the plan now is, I'm going up to Maryland for the 4th of July...I can't wait!

The HOT wedding party.
