  • SUMMERTIME!!!

We have been enjoying summer here.  Playing outside, swimming, making new friends (there are triplet girls next door who are 3) and most fun for me, visiting old friends.  Last week the kids and I drove up to Michigan (4 hours) to visit my old college roommate.  On the way there and on the way back we stopped and visited other college friends.  It was great to reconnect and its amazing how easy it is with these friends who played such an important role in my college years.  The kids also had a great time, talking potty talk , driving a boat, playing with friends.  Kale especially liked having boys to play with.  Thanks for everything girls!  Not just the recent visit but for your awesome friendships in the last 10+ years.  I love y'all!!

Here are some fun pics of our visit to Michigan.

  • Japanese Culture Anyone??

Has anyone seen Ninja Warrior (http://www.g4tv.com/ninjawarrior/index.html) or Ultimate Banzuke?  They have become my son's favorite new shows.  They are shows from Japan that show contestants competing in extreme obstacle courses.  We have seen pogo sticks and unicycles on Banzuke.  Ninja Warrior's obstacles are sometimes so difficult that no one completes them.  At any rate Kale LOVES these shows.  Add to the excitement that while watching we hear Kale speaking some jibberish, which turns out to be his own Japanese.  If you have little boys (or a husband that acts like a little boy) that love weird tricks, check out these shows.  Good clean fun for the whole family, but not necessarily for the contestants!

Tonight was Kale's 4th t-ball game.  Here are a few clips for the grandparents.

Notice Kale's nice slide at the end - He's testing my laundry skills, grass stain on white pants

The girls get quite bored at the games and tonight Chloe had ants in her pants.  She was singing but when I turned the camera on it turned into silly giggling.  Enjoy!

  • Seriously?!?!

How is it that somedays my 3 children can be the best of friends playing together?  I love that their ages are so close for just that reason.  Yet other days they will fight about anything?  Tonight before supper my 3 little angels were fighting about who would get to pray before we eat.  Seriously?!?!  Seriously!?!?  I guess I should be glad that they all want to show their thankfulness to God.  The battle ended once I finally sat down at the table and lead them all in a prayer together.  Of course I forgot to thank God for a few people and Kale had to add on to the end, but at least everyone was happy and we ate our meal in peace

  • What a Day!!!

Wow!  We've had a long and busy day here, and surprisingly no pictures

But what a beautiful day!  We started outside planting the flowers that we started back in April.  Well, I actually did the planting while the kids played.  I had gotten out the summer outside toys and they thought they had all new toys!!!  It was great.  And while I dug in the dirt Kale became a "worm hunter"  We now have a jar of dirt and worms in my breezeway.  I swore this would never happen, but NEVER SAY NEVER when you have a boy.

After cleaning up we then headed out to graduation parties.  Keith started with us but then had to return to his softball tournament (he's still not home)  So my friend and her 2 children trekked on to 2 more parties until our two pair of eyes could no longer keep up with our 5 children.  But with the beautiful weather it was a great way to start Memorial Day weekend!  Although thankfully my parents are taking the kids tomorrow as we head out to a few more graduation parties.

Hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day, which to me is the start of summer - even with 8 days left of school!
