| cincinnati just made another mistake. it was bad enough to let kearns and lopez go. not to mention signing alex gonzalez to a 14 million dollar contract. but this one, this one broke my heart. this one almost made me cry. this one crossed the line. apparently a persons dedication and loyalty to a team and a city mean nothing anymore. it really isnt about the character or quality of the players that are put on the field anymore. its just about money. it kind of makes you hate the idea of major league baseball. makes you realize george steinbrenner is probably not the worst, but the best owner in baseball. money is no object to him. he will do whatever it takes to bring in the best, but also continue to let veterens who have been loyal to the yankees stay around for as long as they please.
i wish the best for larue. and kearns. and lopez. and even though dunn is still with the reds, i wish the best for him too. because they traded his two best friends. he grew up with them. he rose to the major leagues with them down in triple A ball.. and now they are gone. so congrats wayne krivsky. you ruined any team chemistry you had. not to mention you let 3 of the 4 hardest working, genuine, and best looking, may i add, players on your team slip away. way to go. manager of the year for you. jack ass.
