Hey, some of you guys know i'm going to Africa for a while. So i'm disappearing momentarily. If you could pray for us it would be great. Below are some requests for prayer but... i wanna add something.

I totally feel unready for this trip. I've really been praying and hoping that my heart will be soft enough to love people. I wonder if i can love so much. So pray for me. It will be a challenging 2 weeks i think, but most incredible.

As for the rest of you... i'm sorry my brain's not functioning properly~ so scuse me i'm gonna go pack but thanks for being part of my life :)

Our team of eight people is going to Mozambique on a missions trip from 28th June to 14th July, 2006.  We will be ministering with Iris Ministries for 14 days and we covet and deeply appreciate your prayers for us. 

Some of you may ask:

Why Mozambique? 

      Because it was the poorest country on earth

Why Iris Ministries? 

      Because they have established themselves and are experiencing the kingdom of heaven and open heavens.

Why so many days? 

      Because it takes more than 30 hours including layovers to get there one   way. HK to KL, Malaysia (6 hour layover) KL to Johannesburg, South  Africa (3 hour layover), Johannesburg to Pemba via Maputo, Mozambique.

What will we do?

Pracical projects and ministries at centre in the mornings, attending the Holy Given School of Missions session with Heidi, Rolland and other guest speakers in the afternoons and outreaches in the bush, church services or free time in the evenings.

Who are the eight?

      Nathanael, Charles, Winnie, Jennifer, Pinky, Jenna, Priscilla, Rebekah

Which are the churches involved?

      The church of Jesus Christ :)

Pray

1. Safe journey (check-in, going through immigration, flights on time, luggage all arrive)
2. Shield of protection from the Lord ¡V physical safety, good health, emotional well-being, spiritual warfare, protection of family members

       Stand on the promise of Ps 91 and Ps 34:7 ¡V no bug attack! 

3. Surrender and Sacrifice will come easy out of willing and obedient hearts ¡V living condition and many things on this trip will be a challenge to the western mindset.  Grace in abundance and Patience practiced.

       Ro12:1-2 need to be our Scripture.

4. Submission and Sensitivity to the prompting of the Holy Spirit

       Language of the people is Portuguese.  We will have to speak in  ¡§tongues¡¨.

5. Servant¡¦s heart for everyone. 
6. Soaked in His love ¡V Ro 5:5 The Holy Spirit to pour His love into our hearts.  Love God, love others.  
7. Surprised by God and what He is going to do in and through each one of us
8. Such UNITY and LOVE in the group
