... Much to my delight.

I've never thought that such a beautiful, flowing, passing, attacking minded football team like Turkey could lose to a lame Germany side yesterday( much as I support Germany to bits)

It took a last gasp goal from left-back Philipp Lahm to score the 3rd goal for Germany and make it to the Final, either against Spain or Russia. I'll report on the match soon.

Well, Germany scored on the counter, with very little brilliant play, mostly Turkey carving out scoring chances, one after another. an Amazing miss from Turkey was to Germany's gain, in the end Turkey were on the Receiving end of a whipping at the last few minutes of the match.

So much for the last-gasp goals, Germany grabbed the opportunity with both hands.

AND SO, GERMANY FULL STEAM AHEAD TO THE FINAL OF EURO 2008.

(Please, I'm talking about American soccer and English football here, so don't get confused.)

Nihat Kahveci scored 2 goals in the space of 3 minutes,

then Bastian Schweinsteiger was the hero for Germany as he lobbed 2 freekicks into the penalty area for 2 of Germany's 3 goals!

We've seen lots of attacking play here, (Holland's total football) and I'm looking forward to the remaining soccer matches!

Yup, I'll be supporting Germany. Anyway, Germany is in 'quite' I say quite because, well, you never know; an easy group to get through the knockout stages. Let's continue hoping!!!
