Luke and I have been cleaning up the apartment, washing clothes and packing. We are pretty much done packing and our apartment feels sooo clean. Now we are just waiting for Fon to get home from practice with some food. He is going to pick something up on the way home. Not sure what but I am getting hungrryyy. Too bad he won't be done with practice for another 2 hours. Ha! I am sooo excited to come home and see everyone. I'm sure Luke is too but he doesn't really know what is going on. Once we get home I am sure he will be really happy. We will miss Fon bunches but we will talk to him a gazillion times a day.

Hope yall have a good week and weekend =)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAROLINE!!!

Mignon's Wedding 021

Today is my god child's birthday. She turned 12 years old! I can't believe how old and big she is getting. She is such a sweet and smart girl. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful niece in my life. She loves Jesus so much and is going on a missions trip to Mexico in a week. To go on the missions trip she has had to intern at the church twice a week this whole summer. She has been feeding the homeless and going out on outreaches. I know she is going to have a wonderful time on the missions trip and she is going to learn so much. I went on a missions trip to Mexico when I was her age and it was such a good experience. I could go on and on about her...she is awesome! Just like all of my other nieces and nephews =) But she is SUPER special since I am her Nanny =)

I can't wait to go to her birthday party next Friday. We are going to have so much FUN! Her party is an Amazing Race theme. I am soooo excited =) I love that show.

We hope you had a FAB day, Caroline! Luke and I can't wait to see you soon =)

We WON....YAY!

47 -28

Record 2-1

It seems like I haven't blogged in forever. Sorry! The game was on Thursday night and Stefan had off Friday, Saturday and Sunday. He just had to in for a meeting today at 4. We have had a nice break the past few days. Nothing too exciting. Just hanging out, taking naps and running errands. It has been so nice having Fon around and spending time with him. Especially since Luke and I will be flying home on Thursday for 11 days. We will miss Fon sooo much =(

The game on Thursday night was really good and I am so happy we won. Luke was an angel the whole game. He was really into it and sat on my lap most of the time. He would sign football and dad over and over again. I thought I would be chasing him around but he was soooo good =) This year there is an area for families to sit that is super nice. I don't think Luke would have lasted in the stands because he would have wanted to go up and down the stairs. But the area we have is awesome! A lot of wives sit in there with their kids. There are security guards at the entrance so the kids can't just run out. They have drinks, cookies and popcorn for us to eat. We did not have this last year and I am sooo happy they are doing this for us this year. I might even take Luke to a few more games. We will see. He stayed up the whole game until there was a minute left in the game. Stefan got in for the last minute and Luke was knocked out on me. Shoot! He missed his daddy. Oh well, hopefully there will be many more games for him to see his dad play =) Here are a few pics from the game:

She just loved petting Luke...haha =)

I love Luke in his jersey. Too cute!

We are getting everything ready for our trip back home. Today we had to get a letter notarized by a lawyer saying it is ok for me to take Luke out of Canada. Stefan had to write a note saying he gives me permission to take Luke to Louisiana. Isn't that crazy!?! I have never heard of that. I am not sure if you have to do that back in the states or not. We had no clue you had to do this until the secretary told us. If I would have shown up with Luke at the airport and no note, they wouldn't have let me fly out and my ticket would have been lost money. CRAZY!!! I am sooo happy the secretary found out I was going home somehow and told us what to do. Otherwise I would have been so upset.

We went to the Dollar Store and got a few things for our flight when Luke gets bored. I won't show him anything until we are on the plane and he is super bored. Ha! I am still nervous about flying with him but I just keep praying he will be fine. Of course, after his sleeping schedule is FINALLY back to normal  it is going to get alll messed up traveling and going home. Hopefully when we get back to Canada it won't take long to get his routine back on track. Luke definitely needs his sleep if you want a happy boy...same as his mom =) I have been feeling really good. Just can't wait to go home and eat some GOOD food! I have a long list of what I want to eat. I just need to eat in moderation because I do NOT want to get gestational diabetes with this pregnancy. No fun! I had gestational diabetes with Luke and it was so hard being on a diet. I think I am eating a lot better already with this pregnancy than I did at the beginning with Luke. I was eating nachos for breakfast with Luke every morning. Ha! Not good!

Oh yeah, today is my niece Savannah's birthday....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAV!!!

We WON!!

34-31

Record 1-1

Wow! What a game we won on Thursday night. It was awesome! Soooo exciting! Well, it would have been more exciting if Stefan was playing but it was a really good game. Our team played really well offensively and defensively. The babysitter was actually able to watch Luke. I thought her baby boy's surgery was on Thursday but it is next Thursday. So, Luke will be heading with me to the game this Thursday in his new jersey =) Luke knew exactly what was going on when we got to the sitters house. He kept signing for me to sit next to him the whole time I was there. Ha! I felt AWFUL when I left because he was screammminggg! But, I called the sitter and he was fine a few minutes later. Phew! She said the game was on t.v. and they would show Stefan when he would go in and hold the ball for the kicker. Luke would get sooo excited and start signing DADDY! So cute =)

Stefan had off the last two days and it has been sooo nice spending time with him. Friday we went to lunch at Red Robin and then headed to the mall. Got Luke some cute new clothes from H&M. I can never find me anything there but I can always find Luke some CUTE CUTE clothes. We went to the indoor theme park with all of the rides. Kids 2 and under get to ride for free. That was nice. Luke rode the carousel, ferris wheel, some cars that went around and around twice and I think that is about it. It seemed like he enjoyed all of it. He was pooped when we were done. Then, yesterday we just went for a walk around our apartment. Had lunch at Pita Pit and then walked to the grocery store. I made some yummy spaghetti last night. One of Luke's favorites =) Then, Stefan had to go back to work today. It has been raining pretty much all day. At one point it started hailing. Yikes! It is also getting a little chilly out which is nice =)

We have also been watching A LOT of tennis lately. We love playing tennis so much. Last week we went and played and a GREAT time. We go and play at the stadium...there is a work out room families can use for free. That includes the tennis courts and they have rackets we can borrow. At first, Luke ran around and got the balls for us. Then he realized he wanted a racket too. I went to get him one and they gave me a racquetball racket he could bang around. Well, he knew it wasn't a tennis racket and didn't want it. So, Stefan had to play with it. Ha! Luke is one smart boy =) Anyways, if you missed the Wimbledon match today with Federer and Nadal you missed a good one. WOWOWOW! That was probably the BEST tennis match I have ever watched. It was soooo exciting! It started at 7AM (Mountain time) and didn't end until 2:30. There were 2 rain delays. I was rooting for Federer but Nadal won. Nadal played really good. I just wanted Federer to win because it would have been his 6 Wimbledon title in a row and that hasn't been done since sometime in the late 1800's. But Nadal was the better player and it wasn't meant to be. I was actually feeling really sad for Federer after the match =(

Anyways, that is what we have been up to. Football, tennis, mall and eating. Ha! Luke and I don't have too much planned for this week. Luke was invited to a birthday party on Tuesday we will probably go to. Then, we will probably meet up with my friend January and her baby girl one day. Only 11 more days until we fly home. YAY =)

Hope yall had a great weekend and a wonderful 4th of July. I was really craving some BBQ over here on the 4th but we couldn't find any restaurants. Booo! Ha! That is why went went to Red Robin and got the BBQ burger. Yumm!

Happy Canada Day!

Today is Canada Day. I would say it is the same as 4th of July back home. Luke and I went to a parade to celebrate this exciting day...even though we aren't Canadians. Ha! The only weird thing was they didn't throw anything at the parade. Not even candy! I have never been to a parade where there wasn't something thrown at me. Ha!  My friends January and Christie came out with their babies too. It was a nice day and it was great being outside. It is that time of year again and it is HOT in our apartment. So, it feels much better being outside. After the parade we went and ate at Red Robin. It was really good but the AC was even better .

July 2008 018

Yay Canada!

Yeah, so we lost our game last Saturday. It was pretty bad. We started off good but just blew it. The final score was 34 - 13. Yikesss!  Stefan got in the last minute of the game and did pretty good besides his one interception. Well, it was kind of like a hail mary so it really wasn't his fault. We play Calgary on Thursday night and I hope we WIN. If we don't I think this will be a longgggg season.

Luke modeling his new jersey...I will  take a lot more pics of him in it on Thursday night =)

Yay #17!!!

I got this picture from my brother Paul the other day and it was titled Oh My God!!!

paul

Hahahaha! His wife Charity is pregnant. Woohoo! We are so so so so so excited for them! Our babies are going to be close in age and we are sooo happy about that =) Paul made my day when he sent this pic. After I told him I was pregnant he kept joking around that Charity was sick and she might be pregnant too. But he was kidding with me and kept this on for about a week. He knew that Stefan and I wanted our kids to be close in age with theirs. So, he joked and joked for about a week. I told him to shhh and when/if she gets pregnant I want a picture of the pregnancy test. That way I would know for sure she was preggers and he wasn't kidding. Sure enough he took this pic and sent it to the whole fam...and I LOVE it =)

CONGRATSSSS!

Well, here are some random pics of Luke. I know he is only in his diaper in most of the pictures. Sorry, it is wayyy too hot in the apartment for his clothes.
