| I ran into Dr. Castiglione after class last Monday and I told him I was
going to major in philosophy, and he suggested that I minor in it and
also minor in Italian, since I had four years of it in high school. He
suggested that I drop Greek Phil and Cognitive Psych, pick up
Intermediate Italian, and sign up for another psych class. Well I've
thought about it over the last week and I really don't want to minor in
Italian. I know that it would open up a lot of opportunities as fas as
jobs go, and I do like Italian, but I don't like taking classes in
languages. Maybe I'll try to brush up on my Italian on my own so that
I'll be able to put some level of competency in it on grad school
applications. I did drop cognitive psych tho, so that I can get more
requirements for my major done. SO here is my FINAL sched for the
fall...
PSY 332 - Adolescent Psychology - M/W 8:00-9:50am
PSY 346 - Psychological Testing - T/R 2:00-3:50pm
PSY 354 - Abnormal Psychology - T/R 6:00-7:50pm
PHIL 351 - Greek Philosophy - T/R 10:00-11:50am
So much for only classes on tues and thurs... but i still have almost
all of mon and wed off so its good. Only one week of classes left!

| My "Life Path" is number 6:
You have a strong sense of responsibility: you must feel useful to be happy.
The main contribution you make is that of advice, service and ever present support.
This is the Life Path related to leadership by example and assumption of responsibility...
Thus, it is your obligation to pick up the burden and always be ready to help.
The Life Path 6 is one who is compelled to function with strength and compassion.
You are a sympathetic and kind person, generous with personal and material resources.
Wisdom, balance, and understanding are the cornerstones of your Life Path.
Your extraordinary wisdom and the ability to understand the problems of others is apt to commence from an early age...
As a child, you easily spanned the generation gap and assumed an important role in life early on.
While you may assume huge responsibilities in the community, you life revolves around the immediate home and family.
Most with Life Path 6 are the positive types who willingly carry far
more than their fair share of the load and are always there when
needed.
You are very human and realistic about life, and you feel that the most
important thing in your life is the home, family and friends.
The number 6 Life Path actually produces few negative examples, but there are some pitfalls peculiar to the path.
Avoid a tendency to become overwhelmed by responsibilities and a slave to others.
Also, avoid being too critical (of yourself or of others).
The misuse of this Life Path produces tendencies towards exaggeration, over-expansiveness, and self-righteousness.
Imposing one's views in an interfering or meddling way must be an issue of concern.
The natural burdens of your number are heavy, and on rare occasions,
responsibility is abdicated by persons with this Life Path 6.
This rejection of responsibility will make you feel very guilty and
uneasy, and it will have very damaging effects upon your relationships
with others.

I thought this was quite fitting. Odd eh?

| So I had to drop the Intro. to Logic class in the second summer session
because I definitely can't afford it. I forgot that just cuz I have a
free ride during the year, that doesn't mean I do during the summer
too. It's ok tho i'll just take it next summer. I still have Human
Development and Ethics during the first session and I'll have the
second session off... I'll probably end up working more (hopefully) and
maybe doing some research... we'll see after I email Dr. Kim.
I have another fun story...
I had to go to CVS to get some neosporin the other day, and while I was
there, there was a little old black woman, I'd say around 80 or 85 yrs
old. She was looking at the band-aids and making comments that were
quite funny, so i just pretended that i didn't know which neosporin i
wanted so i could listen. She picks up a box and reads, "Flesh tone -
blends with skin", and then she says quitely loudly, "Yea, if you
a cracka white mothaf--ka!" Yea... try not to laugh at that.

| Here's another fun story... After class today as I was on my way out of
the building, a girl I haven't seen since high school (who shall remain
nameless) was standing in the hallway. I didn't really talk to her in
high school either, but this was fun. She looked me up and down and
gave me a little half smile, so I just shook my head at her in disgust
and left.
And that's your Zen moment for the day.
