I was going to write about all the documents that america was founded on, but most of the are too based in simple rhetoric that I found it too boring.  Plus those things aren't important, the mechanics of our government aren't in question they work fine.  America is a machine where all the cogs work well enough, it's simply a question of what this engine is made to do.

In a country, where it declared itself free from its oppressors said "all men are created equal" to have had slaves seems roughly ironic.  That is not to mention the inequality of women to white men, and that of children to white men. 

So many countries came before us without saying that they were just and equal to everyone, the fact that America was so audacious to state it so boldy and still be in a state of regress?

One can say that there isn't much that can be expected of the united states after such illustrious beginnings.  It would be easy to turn around opinion, if there were apologies made or changes truly made.  Yet in a nation where it took 200 years to create a slipshod version of equality there are neither apologies or true solutions to come.

alright, i drove sarah to work and i was doing fine until i ran across an anime forum where someone was on a diatribe about how downloading was "wrong".  It got me all in a tizzy about the whole thing because I hate that self righteous bullshit.  The community of anime is built on fansubs and tape trading.  Now second it should be the consumers choice on how he wants it.  It's not illegal to tape shows from television, but we as consumers are given the choice to watch our crappy well worn tapes of friends or to buy the dvd sets. 

Now when someone downloads something, they probably weren't going to buy it anyway, it's not taking money away from anyone.  Do you think someone who downloads things is loaded and just using that disposable income elsewhere?  They wouldn't buy it anyway in most cases.  There are some people who bootleg unscrupulously, or try to sell bootlegs and that is wrong.  There is no big deal about bootlegging to certain degrees, because it is or should be allowed legally.
