| Feeling Better...After a few road blocks and a good teacher, I am finally confident in my parenting skills once again. I will start by saying, a wonderful husband covers so many other problems. Ben fixes everything. I have realized the reason I don't live on coffee is because I have a natural energizer- two crazy poodles, a precious little baby, and a VERY understanding husband. I will also say that hormones going back to normal after pregnancy is like PMS on crack. From deep lows to soaring highs, for what seems like months. However, right now I have been on a high for one and a half months. So, things might be getting back to normal. ;) Despite a suspicious unidentified lump which is going to be examined next Thursday (please pray...) Well, I need to get back to cleaning my house since that is what Ben pays me for... :) Love to all! | | |
| Motherhood. So, I just found out why the pregnancy books address the issue of crying WITH your baby. They are addressing a condition called the flu. Where no matter what you do, what passie they are sucking, how many times they want to eat or not, what swinging they do in the baby swing, and how many diapers do or don't get changed will not fix the problem... The hospital says that she can't have any medication "in case" her fever spikes to 100.4. I'm sorry but sitting here for the third day watching my baby suffer ( I know she is suffering I have the same illness) so they can have the satisfaction of rushing (or not) to her aid is ridiculous! She has not had that high of a fever *yet* but the one she does have, and the sore throat she can do nothing about are a problem. Suddenly, the parenting that seemed managable has suddenly spiriled completely out of my control. Of course, since my hormones have been a little shaky lately, this was just the push I needed to realize how completely incompetent I feel. Knowing that 100% of other new moms feel the same way isn't helping me. Hence, the 3:10am breakdown. Not that seeing wee numbers on the clock suprises me anymore.... *sigh*. I love xanga, most likely only the true friends I need at this moment still read this blog anyway. Therefore, no prying eyes will see this moment of weakness. Happy thought indeed. ;) | | |
| More to do!Hello Dear Friends, I am now 27 weeks into my pregnancy. My midwives are still indecisive as to a due date. First, it was March 20th, but my ultrasound on Oct. 31st showed a 17 week old baby instead of 20 weeks. So, I had another ultrasound scheduled for December 10th (IT'S A GIRL! :)). At this point Summer Aivryll was measuring 24 weeks; however my uturus is was measuring 27 weeks... The uturus in inches and weeks into pregnancy are supposed to agree. So, now at my January 7th appointment, they will be determining if she is not too big now for an April 7th due date. Ah, what did we do before doctors were there to tell us they don't know what they are doing... However, thankfully her being in perfect health is not a point of contestation, just when Summer will be making an appearance. In other news this laptop computer is one of about 10 items in my house-notwithstanding a couple candles, cleaning chemicals and gels. None of these items happen to be furniture related unless an air mattress is up for consideration. The reason for my lack of furnishings is Ben's and my emminent move to Georgia! Our last day here in Fayetteville is January 10th. Our first day in our new townhome is January 11th. We have had so many blessings of late regarding our new living situation. The first being a January promotion...first month free!! I love free rent!! The second is our security deposit is only 87.50- this lovely rental home in fayetteville charged us 975.00. What answers to prayer. :) Our new address for all interested is 422 Connell Rd. Apt I1 (I- as in India and 1- as in the number) Valdosta, Ga 31601. Take care everyone, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!! | | |
| Hello hello cyberworld! I am in desperate need to update. Let's see, Ben is now back from Iraq and has been very busy since his return in May. One of his more notable undertakings has been getting me pregnant. Though I can't say he really tried, it just happened. :) I am now almost 18 weeks into my pregnancy and have my first ultrasound scheduled for October 31st. I am getting more and more excited with every run in with hic-ups and every aggressive kick. The reality of why I have been sick for ALL this time is finally taking shape. In fact, according to many sources of information our little one is now complete with working vital organs, ears, and even fingernails. Another source of great joy for me is that my childhood friends is only two weeks behind! There is something reassuring about not having to go through these things alone. Thank you, Kate! | | |
| Hello dear friends, I hope you all had a wonderful time during the holidays. Ben has gone to Iraq and is having the time of his life... *sniff* as you can tell-I'm not. However, I do have a job, yay! I absolutely love it. I work for Cross Creek Animal Hospital. I miss Ben, but I now have a HUGE house all to myself, hello shopping sprees, trips, and no more cooking. | | |
